DB do you serve as a broker on all these domains you post on here or do you buy them for your own account also?

KRL, I gave you a crack on this one, but it was during your server meltdown, and once you posted for me to resend, it was already gone. |

Nice! But, it makes me wonder what value might be reasonably placed on a very nice domain name that gets: Let's say, at least an average of 85 type-ins a day? Would $8,000 seem crazy (especially compared to $25,000?) What about an even better name that averages at least 250 type-ins a day? Would $24,000 seem crazy? P.S. - the "japanese" joke was BRILLIANT!!! |

BTW, does anyone know this delusional fellow who wants $900,000 for erection.com?
He's got an email addy suspiciously close to DK's http://erection.com/ :helpme |

Also note that DomBuyer said niche *and* quality of traffic...erections is a niche (of sorts), so I assume you're saying the niche is at least as good as erections. The quality is something different...people type in TGP domain names, but those type-ins are typically of a lower value than an equivalent unadvertised generic type-in. |

As I understand it, you seem to want to hear that a couple domains you have (or are hypothetical domains) are worth $8k+ and $24k+. They may very well be, but without knowing the domains, it's impossible to say. I'm just suggesting that if you're not familiar with the domain biz, it's possible you're overlooking some factors in your description. As I said, I've seen people describe domains as getting a lot of type-ins, but it turns out they were getting search engine hits. You may know the difference and are describing everything accurately, I just don't know. It would be unusual for a domain pro to post the sorts of questions you're asking, so it seems possible you may be overlooking something, and I just wanted to give you a heads up to be aware of that. There are also quite a few other factors that go into domain pricing, although type-in rate for generic terms and the topic are big ones. |

When Douglas MacArthur's name was being bandied around as a possible candidate for the presidency of the United States, this immortal slogan was written across an enormous banner in downtown Tokyo: "We Play For MacArthur's Erection". :) |
