that is cool, how old and how big would it get though?
What does something like that cost and cost to keep fed etc

Dagwolf 09-28-2004 02:18 PM

I think very few people are responsible enough to own a tiger. They need a lot more than just food and living space...

NoCarrier 09-28-2004 02:18 PM

I don't like his watch. Don't buy that pussy.

Males are 10 feet and often weigh in excess of 550 pounds while females weigh 300 pounds with average lengths up to 9 feet

Wiggles 09-28-2004 02:26 PM

they are super expensive, some dude in our mall said it costs like 1k just to feed them for like a week.

Do you have to register with anyone for having an animal like that? You know, in case children or pets go missing :)

you can buy them here http://www.wildanimalworld.com/availableanimals.htm

sacX 09-28-2004 02:36 PM

It won't be quite so cute when it's fully grown.

Jman 09-28-2004 02:37 PM

She's very adorable.

But do Tigers really belong in a house. In a community.

If you own enough acerage and forest for it to be able to live like a tiger I say go for it Roger

yeah, enjoy them when they are young.

dig420 09-28-2004 02:42 PM

bad for the tiger, bad for your house and you in the long run. They eat a TON, they have a very strong smell, and you never know when it's going to decide to kill you or your housekeeper. I have trouble enough with two Pits.

Tigers belong in the wild, not in the house. Do your research first.

Cypherpunk 09-28-2004 02:44 PM

Dont even encourage the trade in these animals. They belong in the wild not as a pet. Owning a tiger doensnt make you cool

it also subsidizes poaching, which is a serious problem, and you should keep this mind:

But Mr. Habel says pet-owners don't realize how big, fast, and strong animals become when they grow up. "Look at a normal domestic situation. A little cat can attack your arm and leave a scratch or bite mark," he says. "Magnify the effect by 50, these animals only need to be playing with you to kill you."
