Today I bought my first porsche ever...(pics inside)

Porsche design that is :winkwink:

Have been in need for a kickass kitchen knife and today I went to the shop and bought this baby.
Costed me around $130 but it was so nice to work with and the way it fits my hand was incredible.

I can strongly reccomend this knife to anyone who are in need of a good solid kitchen knife.

The wooden backround I also bought today...one solid wooden block. Called a slaughter block here in sweden :)

That one was just $30 :)

I just love cooking..maby I should open a small resturant?

Well it dont come out that good here but the handle is acctually twisted so you got AWSOME controll over the knife.

And its much better then a ordinary handle.

30.00 picked up a set of Miricle Blades. Honestly man these are better than any of the cold steel kitchen knives I have ever used while at home or working in restaraunts in high school.

The handle dsigns is good because you can cut all the way through the food as the blade is effectively lower than your knuckles because of the handle curve much like yours. But the handle comes out the back of yoru hand and has a knob on the end that is in line with the blade so it is steady as you slide through your roast or bread or whatever it is you are cutting. I have never had a knife that i could cut my nori with, without flattening but this cuts through the seaweed without ripping, right through the rice and any vegetables or meat I have in the middle without any kind of noticable pressure form my hand. I was blown away since this was a tv sold item and I did not expect it to work. Now it does not cut through frozen seafood like I thought but frozen beef and chicken it does very easily to my suprise. The parring knife is pretty good, the filet knife cuts just as well as the slivers and has a good flexibility to the blade. the steak knives are good but I am not using them as a utility knife also, that is just strange, not eating with something I cut drywall with (but I did use them to strip some thin wires last night)

Now the best thing is the chop and scoop which I use to cut vegetables with. It is a thin metal square with the same curved handle but it has a pivot ball at the top so you can grab it at the top there and apply force directly to your vegetables or fruit. There is a rock and chop you are supposed to use to bias slice and all that but I usually do not use it. This knife set has cut down on my prep time dramatically.

Honestly man check them out, best 30.00 I ever spent on something that was not crap and broke really easily. And the only time I have not had buyers remorse about something of this nature. Oh yeah came with a juicer 2 but never used it :winkwink:

A funny story was when I looked at it in the store a girl cam up to me that worked there...

I told her to take out the knife from the locked cabin where all kinds of knifes where hanging by some magnet aplication on the wall in the cabin...and as she reach for this knife another one drops down...and almost stample her foot too the ground!!!

Kind of strange moment for a while then she looked at us and said upps :)

Damn she could have killed us all LOL!

Had the guy in the knife cart in the mall across from one of my distributors of car parts fumble a knife, not thinking he caught it though. It was a Paul Chen so I understand him not wanting to drop it, but the stiches cost him just as much probably.

zentz 09-14-2004 11:45 AM

Knife is the most loved item of my kitchen. If I needed to pick one non-electrical thing as my favorite, it'd be my knife. :
