Felt the need to share MY 9/11/2001!
 

Alot of this still holds true in my day to day life, and I wrote it with nothing but sheer fear, tears, love, and so many other emotions flying in and out of me all at one time. I wrote it to give some light into the eyes of a child, a mother, and just humanity in general. I wrote this to try and make some sense out of what was going on. It's not been edited since the day I wrote it 3 years ago, same typos, and all. But I wanted to share it with you again..... just to clarify that there are other things besides ourselves to worry about when tragedy hits that close to home... to show you that the "little people" have feelings too and thoughts and sometimes we forget this, that our children have strong feelings and questions when something like this arises.

It's pretty heart wrenching, so keep that in mind. :winkwink:

I didn't say it was any MORE or LESS important. I just posted it. This is something that hit me extremely hard and something I had to go thru with my child that hit me even harder. It is extemely important to me, and always will be. Why? Because like so many others, I had the task of explaining to my child what was going on in this crazy, fucked up world, but not many are as candid as I am and will make note of things that they go thru with their children in trying to explain such things. In fact, I can't believe how many I talked to that didn't even talk to their kids about it. I am not saying I am some hero Mom, I am just a mom who cares very deeply where her kids heads are at on such important issues. There were kids my son went to school with that were equally as horrified as mine was and their parents didn't even bother talking to them.

No, MY experience isn't that important to YOU, and I am fine with this, but it was and still is very damned important and meaningful to ME! It was one of the worst days I have had trying to explain things to a little boy that had NO clue what was going on and was trying desperately to understand it.

So, yes, I guess I DID think mine was pretty damned important and deserved it's own thread..... to ME, maybe not to you, but to me it was. What's important to you may not be important to me, and vice versa, but please don't judge me or call me stupid when something is important to me and not to you. It may not be important to ANYONE, for all I know, but it was damned important to ME!! And that, my dear, is why I posted this.

I walked away from this for a minute to think about it, and decided it DID need it's own thread.... to ME!!!

Not saying I disagree with you and I can definitely understand it was important to you, there are lots of people who where essentially affected.

Just grasp this though, if we had a 1000 ppl making a new post about this subject how do you think the board would look?

Again, in theory I agree with you there. And it is definitely a nice change to all the kindergarten people on this board.

Judging by todays date though I can imagine a million people who would each like to make a post about their experience on that awful day. Personally I would prefer if that was done in a consecutive thread rather than in a million new ones.
