You seem more suburban (and I don't mean that in a bad way) ... but if you want to find a guy that won't use you for your money... ya gotta go where they are.

You used to boat ... obviously marina's , sailing, yatch clubs - can be a place. i'm sure you've tried that. auctions can be a fun place to meet people. art galleries. but i don't know if that is up your alley.

well - i'm no help - but i'm not a "dater" so i don't know these things. I usually meet a lot of people at sporting events. just my 2 cents from the peanut gallery.

I'm not one to flaunt the money. It's usually the last thing I discuss when meeting people. Of course I have a nice house, but I don't do the fancy cars, etc. By surburban it sounds like you mean 'down to earth'. I don't come across to most as some rich-bitch, etc. It's more what I like to do that gives things away. I love my diamond club seats at the Mariners games, club seats at the Seahawks, nice restaurants, etc. Guys that I've dated over the last 6 years just can't keep up with it. I end up footing the bill for stuff if I want to bring 'him' along. Otherwise I go alone or my boys tag along.

Seriously, PK, you should look in different places - BrettJ's suggestions were good. Your investment/stock broker must invite you to gatherings for product launches, so try to go to those - plenty of rich single men there. Private social clubs - even banks - just make sure he's not a rich guy who'll freeload off you to save his own money.

Have you ever joined a singles activities club? In Southern Cal, we have singles groups that do different activities like tennis, golf, sailing, etc.

Are you a patron of the arts or the local zoo in your area? That's a good way to meet upscale people.

I hardly thought the first thing you'd mention is that you are well off. More or less I was making refrence to the subject title.

If you ever need somebody to keep your seats warm (or fill an empty) in the diamond club. I'm your man.

But back to the point at hand. No clue what dating is like as a middle age, single woman. But I meet a lot of single people at the ball games. Not that I end up dating many of them. But it's easy for me to meet people there. Everybody is looking to have a good time. But having your kids with you. might kill your game. If you want to go out on the prowel.... you have to find some gay men....or some girlfriends to go to the ball park with you.... preferrably women.

You need to hang with me, PK - I always seem to find the rich ones. But many times the poor ones are a LOT more fun to be with :)

fashion shows. i'm not very fashionable... but some of the places I shop have parties that they throw. been to a couple.
