Jesus I have to lose weight.

Fuck me...I've tried but this lifestyle is not conducive to healthy eating, or excercise as I spend way too much time in front of this monitor not getting any physical activity.

You get kind of bored and start munching on things, or you end up working all night get those late night cravings etc.

Anyway, I just watched a video of a presentation I worked on Thursday and I'm ashamed...truly I am.

I worry that I won't see 40...chances are I definitely won't see 50.

Man I have to do something.

Jakke PNG 08-28-2004 03:03 AM

Shut up.

Jakke PNG 08-28-2004 03:04 AM

I won't see 30.:glugglug

Looks like we weight about the same give or take a few pounds..I'm 5 foot 6 1/2 inches.

quiet 08-28-2004 03:11 AM

i have always been in excellent shape, until around 2001 or so, when i started going down hill from so much time behind a computer. that has all changed, i moved to the mountains and have been hiking mountains everyday, snowboarding everyday in the winters.

best decision i ever made.

Unless those are kilograms or stones, you're a lightweight :)

If you wish to ask for Jesus's help in your goal to lose weight you came to the wrong place.

If those were kilograms I'd seriously consider a diet. Now I don't.

My worst decision I ever made was moving back from Los Angeles to Texas...that's where it started to go downhill from there.

Out in LA I was fairly active, went swimming all the time, was an active boogie boarder trying to learn to surf...did a lot of walking every weekend on the beaches as I lived either on the beach or close by like my sailboat in the marina.

Anyway...I moved back to Texas and the first year things were okay and then summer came...the heat just got to me I wasn't used to it anymore so I wasn't as active during the summer...so when fall came around my energy levels weren't as high but they were there..and then the next summer rolled around and I stayed in more and I think things just continued to pile up from then on...I currently weigh over 125 pounds than my highest weight in Los Angeles.

Alright. Everytime I eat a donut I'm gonna think 'this bastard cost me $500'
..as I know very well I ain't gonna lose more than 5 pounds. haha. :)

CET 08-28-2004 03:19 AM

Bragging about how much one weights and how short one's life is going to be? Is this the new style in dick waving? Count me out, I plan on living a long and healthy life. I'll be 85, and still in the weight room, just like Jack Lelane!

strobi 08-28-2004 03:19 AM

Start putting stuff on paper. Make a plan, write it, and stick to it. Like running for 20 minutes every other day, and do it, no matter what. If you don't change your habbits soon, you won't be soing your 50s.

LOL well let me know if you really wanna do this..I'm down. I just don't wanna get a whole lot of people involved like last time because it usually goes off kilter and nothing gets done. :)

If you think I'm bragging you might wanna invest in the hooked on phonics program because this is nothing to brag about...as I stated in my first post I am truly ashamed.

Bring up the topic of anxiety or panic attacks and watch your thread light up...LOL

I started getting panic attacks years before I got into this biz..but I know a number of people on this board get them and this biz doesn't help...in fact only increases them.

I didn't have your post in mind when I wrote that. I was thinking about the following posts, such as, "Oh yeah, well I bet I don't live to see 30." and refering to the scale reading, "Unless those are kilograms or stones, you're a lightweight"

Though the bet to see who can lose the most weight by December does sound like a very healthy competition, unless you use "supplements". Meth diets are not a healthy way to lose weight.

I'm not gonna develop bulimia for $500, nor will I take a single diet-pill or other magic cure. I'm just going to try eat less and walk slightly longer distances when walking my dog. I don't expect my weight to drop much.. but monetary bet is a good incentive to do even that little. :)

I can sense Eros is more serious about this than me, so I expect him to win. However if I lose say 20lbs and lose the bet it's almost worth the $500. :)

You of course realize that as unhealthy, or even unhealthier than to eat too much?

We just got back from Florida and one of the things that amazed me was the number of over weight and obese people there. In Orlando it seemed even worse than Holleywood, in fact some of the better looking people were at the show.

I put on 2 kilos when I stopped shooting to work on the computer. :(

then I guess you could use some exercice indeed :glugglug

davvve 08-28-2004 05:43 AM

Hire a really annoying person (with braces) who will ask you questions like "what's your favourite browser" 8 hours/day if you don't do 1 hour of swimming daily.

myjah 08-28-2004 05:46 AM

Good luck to you. It's hard and requires as much dedication as you put into your computers.

Im about 6-4 and weigh the same give or take a few pounds. Ive tried the low carb thing and it works well. Problem is, one I work my self back up to a point where I can eat a few carbs again I over do it and my weight goes up again :feels-hot

I've been doing the medium-low carb thing for a while myself.. and its amazing how well it does indeed work. I've been losing about a pound a week. I still have about 15 more I want to shave off yet.

Worst thing about low carb diets.. you tend to eat the same few things over and over. Or at least I do.
