Fast food drive thru's should be abolished
You lazy fat fucks out there should learn to get your fat arses out of your oversized pollution machines to get the fatty artery clogging swill that you cram in your fat, disgusting, greasy pie holes.

i agree.
america has grown too fucking dependant on fast food. i saw a black kid carrying 2 pizzas walking down the sidewalk yesterday. the kid had to be about 10 years old. no doubt his fucking cheap ass ghetto mom, sent this poor kid to walk about 10+ blocks to a fucking pizza place for dinner for the family. this is NOT the american dream. your kids will hate you all |
i just got back from the taco bell drive through :1orglaugh
|
you know what sucks, the suburbs. people don't walk anymore, you have to get in your car and drive just to get a coffee or a bite to eat, or whatever. i will never live in the burbs again (i did grow up there).

Hell yes. I would be so much thinner. Why? Because I hate going inside them. They are so dirty. lol

Fast food places can serve a good purpose but too many Americans depend on it, and that is why the obesity rate is completely preposterous. It is a once in a while thing, but many have learned to DEPEND on it.

Here's a good read about the fast food industry in America (Fast Food Nation):
http://www.fsbassociates.com/hmco/fastfoodnation.htm These corporations are stealing almost as many years from people's lives as the tabbacco industry with their high fat garbage. |
Tell me where you are having your nice quiet dinner tonight and I'll have my brother and sister bring their 6 hyperactive rowdy kids to sit next to you... or had you rather their moms pick up something at the window and you not have to deal with the little monsters?:1orglaugh

Some of the kids today are so fat they can't even walk. I have seen some grade school kids well over 200 pounds. That is fucking child abuse, IMHO. Their parents should be arrested. |

I used to live in the Netherlands and almost everyone there either walks or bikes or uses public transportation. You cannot walk in the suburbs, everything is too far and spread out. |
Fast food?
That's a contradiction... they may sometimes manage to splatter it up fast, but it sure ain't food! :winkwink: For another project I'm being forced into an education on this by "experts" - it's disgusting sewage fodder. No wonder the general health status of the nation is total shit. |

When I was a kid, we use to sit around the dinner table. During the school year, that was one of the only times we'd see our father. |

You can eat at McDonalds and still eat heatlhy.... I usually order their huge salads and put dressing on the SIDE, and just dip it instread of drenching the salad in fatty dressing. I actually eat their salads all the time, and I think it's a healthy meal; just lean chicken and lots of lettuce and tomatoes... The salads are pretty big, I usually can't finish it all at one sitting and save some for later.

What is really amazing is that some salads at fast food places actualy have over 20 grams of fat before dressing (the ones with fried chicken on top..yuck)
I think the best salad is the Spinach chicken salad from wendys.. grilled chicken.. and the dressing it comes with is 2.5 grams of fat...and actualy tasty |
They'll still not get off their asses and walk. They'll call deliveries instead.

Its part of the destruction of the American family. When I was a kid, we had dinner at the table every night. Usually some type of meat, potatos, and a vegatable. And always had to drink milk with dinner.
Getting fast food was a treat. A once in awhile thing, maybe on a weekend. These days its much easier for the single mom to stop at mcdonalds and shut their kid up with a big mac. And they wash it down with a big soda loaded with empty calories and sugar. |
I think that the term "fast food" is usefull. People that Are in a rush that dont wanna sit down and eat with their 5 screaming kids etc.. should have the option of eating something that is quick and easy. However, I think automatically when you hear the word fast food, you think of greasy food, McDonalds, Burger King whatever, because technically those are the only places that offer a drive thru or fast service that are unfortunately at every street corner.:( If there was a health concious drive thru, with service just as fast as McDonalds, would there be soo much obeseity??? No, probably not. Keep in mind, everybody has a choice, wheather your in a rush or have 5 kids or not. Just choose wisely and do your best to stay healthy.:thumbsup

I was in my upper teens before I ever went to a fast food restuarant. But since I don't cook, restaurants are perfect for me - but I like sit down ones better :)
I can promise you my grandparents and parents ate food that was A LOT fattier than fast food stuff. My grandfather owned a cattle ranch so there was red meat with every meal. Plus he had two cooks who were black women from the farms. They taught my mother and aunt how to cook and if it wasn't fried, didnt' have pork fat in it or wasn't cooked ALL DAY, then it wasn't eaten. I was in my 20's before I knew green beans weren't gray! :) Everyone lived well into their upper 80's. My son was raised on eating out. He's 5'10" and weighs 155 pounds and there's never been an ounce of fat on that child. EXERCISE is the ticket. Now if I could just follow that advice :winkwink: |

had to walks about 30 minutes to the grocery store daily to pick up shit for her because she was too tired to drive anywhere to get shit herself. |
I admit, I go thur the krispy kreme drive thur every day.

That's one thing I couldn't stand about the States. Even in the nice areas, you could't walk anywhere unless you lived in a totally urban area (where I didn't feel safe walking). Here at home I can walk into town in 15 minutes (briskly) to grab a Subway, stop by Safeway, the liquor store, the bank, and the corner store, then another 15 minutes and I'm home.
