Is the Hun worth it? Looking for advice from Hun submitters
 

Ok, I've been going back and forth in my mind these past few days.
Should I or shouldn't I?
Submit or don't submit?

If I submit, I may get listed. If I get listed, I'll get a ton of hits, and one huge bandwidth bill since I use paid hosting.
With the traffic, I may get a few signups, and that will cover the bandwidth costs.

On the other hand, I may get a ton of traffic, and no signups, which would suck ass.

I've been studying his galleries. I don't really see a happy medium. Currently there is a gallery that has maybe 20+ hardcore anal pics and the only sponsor is AP. Does that guy get any signups? Why would someone go to a hardcore anal site, and click on a softcore amateur banner?
Also there is a gallery with 16 pics 12 of which show the girl COMPLETELY CLOTHED!! Not erotic in the least. And the other 4 are only topless. 16 pics,4 links to his signup page, and no recip back to the hun.

I push SixNines ebony sites in my galleries.
I'm still new but he has good conversions I think (1:47 with ebonyhead.com)

The advice I'm looking from the hun submitters, is what works best? should I add another banner? Or text link? do I need more pics? take some out? Does he send good quality traffic? Does it convert well? Or is his traffic mostly just people looking but not buying?

Hmmmmm drop that whole mess down to where the gal pics are more mid screen. I know using a hi rez monitor throws things out abit, but I see it all up to the top of the screen. (have to think it does to a degree in 800x600 as well)

I use a free host with the Hun and do ok Normaly I can sell 2 AP signups with a hun listing. Im waiting to see how a new sponsor works with him , It takes about 8 weeks to get listed. I never tryed him with payed hosting.

I've found that the more content there as, as long as I don't overstep the mark, the more signups I get. Better quality makes the guys want more.

If you've ever surfed tgps, you'll notice some galleries that have pics SO GOOD that you have to look at ALL of them. Those were 20 great fucking pics, right? The better the pics - (and although many guys will blow their load and get back to work) a significant majority of them will signup to see MORE, because they are porn greedy fuckers. They've seen the best, and they want more MORE MORE! All of a sudden 20 big glossy pics aren't enough, they want MORE, because they need to cum HARD, they get a little obsessed... the pics are not HARD enough, the only place they can get harder pics is in a paysite, and they know it - especially if the girl(s) you are using is featured on the paysite tour.

Sure, the bandwidth is going to take one big chunk of your income from that galleries, but it is kind of insignificant when you can get 9 or 10 signups at $35 from one gallery. $2 per gig, big deal... Twice per week and you can live off of that yeah?

I've found that banners DO work with Hun surfers. Especially nice big glossy hi-res hardcore close up banners. Make sure that the target paysite has a SHORT tour, maybe promote your own Gold or Platinum site.

It looks like out of 107K visitors, I'm in the 3.08 percentile.

I think ultimately Bake's right, I just need to try it.

I would never run galleries on paid hosting again. I used to submit to the Hun, AL4, Thumbnail Post, Adult Buffet, Snakes World and all the other large TGP's every day (except for the Hun). I tried almost every sponsor there is. I ended up peaking out at almost 1/2 million visitors per day. The bandwidth fee was over $6000.00 a month on Candid Hosting. The Galleries did not make that much money so I quickly shut them down.

Go ahead and try it out for yourself but you will soon see that the bandwidth you use just for the traffic you get from the Hun is incredible.

Well, let's see some of those galleries. There must have been a reason why you didn't get signups.

Everyone always says this is a numbers game. The more traffic you get the more signups you get.

I'm dying to learn from your mistakes, could you please post a few galleries?

Well Pete, the Yellow Pages eats 3000gb of transfer per month and there is clearly making enough money being made from the traffic to make a profit.

Conclusion: the traffic is worth money.

People are paying to get listed. They wouldn't keep doing it month after month if they made no money.

Probably down to poor techniques that you didn't suceed, but here is no reason that you shouldn't be able to make a profit from it. I do... Hun does... lots of other people do.

The Yellow Pages is a money machine.

You need more pics, RedShoe. I think min. for TheHun is 15, but I always submit 20-24 pics.

A lot of people use galleries as a way of advertising there own pay sites, products,TGP sites as well as other things. Not all actually make money. I would show you one of my galleries but I deleted all the files from my servers. I simply had 3 buttons at the top for the recips, a pay banner under that as well as a pay text link. 15 thumbs and another pay banner and text link. The galleries were nice and clean thats why I got hooked up all the time. World sex had 2 of my galleries on his site every day. He gets almost 1 million uniques a day.

I would like to see someone show me how much they make by ONLY submitting galleries and what there bandwidth fees are.

I have a hard time believing that anyone can make GOOD money at galleries with a pay host.

You say yellow pages uses 3000 gigs a month. I was using about 75 gigs per day. Galleries as you know use a lot of bandwidth. I made about $100 a day which is a little more than half the bandwidth fee. I'll bet if I added another banner or so I could have made more money but not double. Some days were really good, like on weekends but during the week it pretty much sucked.

If there is anyone that makes good money at galleries.....show me.

Uh... I heard of someone called Ken (don't know if it's a real name, or nickname) who was mentioned at Building an Empire - apparently, he earns more than $20,000 month just from doing tgps.

I have cleared anywhere from $2500 to $3500 from just my galleries... and currently I only submit to around 10 TGP's all the big boys, of course

Also, as far as Bandwidth I've got a nice (dedicated) host that only charges me $1.50 a gig, and I (on average) use about 250-300gigs a month.

When you post to The Hun or any other of the big hitter TGPs make sure you use sponsors that pay for recurring signups. If you get only a few signups the bandwidth might eat up the initial profit but over the next few months you will make 2 or three times more.

And while your at it why dont you post to <a href="http://www.jadecandle.com/TGP/submit.html">Jade Candle TGP</a>. I've got a page that is just for ebony posts that might get you some quality niche traffic.

Are these sales those $2.75 trials ?? I know I can sell theses things at much higher rates but a full membership is like 500 to 1 those little trials are like 150 to 1 but I only get 20% recurring on those. So I make more cash out of full memberships.

Im talking about 1 sponsor I have used where I think it was $2.75 per trail ,very easy to sell but recuring was shit and 1 month was the longest I had. Like AP is much harder to sell on TGP traffic but what you do sell recurers much higher so you make more .I dont have any ebony content so I never tryed them.

But, I will post a screen shot of my stats, once I figure out how to do that.

Pete - What's so hard to believe about that? I only use 15 pics a gallery and no banners. I don't get nearly as much traffic as you do, i'm averageing about 20-40K unique a day. also, I reduce every image that needs to be reduced to help save BW.

I would just have to say....It is VERY possibly to make $4k a month with 40k/day traffic. I personally know 2 people that make twice that with cj traffic!

I think the Hun's listings are well worth the bandwidth you gotta put into it, unless you make a movie page which I've got no experience with so I have no idea but if you're working with pics go for it!

Traffic quality matter ... A guy who get 15k make more dialer mins then me on my program... I get like 20 times his traffic ... thats all about traffic quality. I convert like 1:800 to 1:1500 on nomral sponsos . With avs, I were converting 1:50 to 1:100 . On free sites most likely 1:250 . So its all about the kind of traffic youre getting . Tgp traffic sucks .
