I don't like going there. I was just there the other day and now I have to go back in two weeks so they can take even more of my money.

I am so phobic about dentists.

Any dentist I call has to be able to give me nitrous oxide, even for a teeth cleaning. I can handle x-rays, but little else.

Nitrous makes it bearable.

Not so much afraid, I just hate it.. the sounds and direct relations to pain is probably what sucks about it, but if theres something wrong always best to go see the dentist.

My dentist could be in Playboy and has huge tits.

I've been to the dentist so much, it doesn't bother me anymore.

I always approach it in the same way. No matter what happens I can't die so who cares just deal with it and it'll be over.

They fuck up my hair everytime I sit in the dentist chair.

doesnt bother me.. I have had a cavity filled with no novacain before(yeah it fucking hurt)..but I don't like to have to pay them outrageous amounts of money.

I was there today, got a teeth cleaning.

i had the same feeling especially if you haven't visit them in years. you know how terrifying their instruments are. however, everything is changed now, they often use a newer method not to inflict pain everytime they touch your teeth. I got my braces for more than i year now and Im required to visit them every month. but before getting those metal brackets, my last visit to a dentist was more than 7 years.

a good dentist let's you know what procedures he/she will undergo for you.

It might be because when I was a kid, the dentist we used had the whole room as a museum to the history of dentistry, including the most gruesome photo's and display cases full of antique apparatus. fucker :mad:

no, not really. its not my favorite thing to do but i like having nice lookking teeth. i am however afraid of getting my wisdom teeth pulled, which apparently im going to have to get done.

All dentists fear me, I tell them in advance if I feel pain Then I will return the favor, It works they take thier time and work on my teeth very gently

I once went to a dentist for fillings. She gave me the injection in my gums, but she didn't give the time for the cocaine to work. She started drilling as soon as she injected me.
It hurt a bit. Maybe she was in a hurry.

yep.....and I had to go this week for a filling. Luckily my dentist likes me and gives me a prescription for valium each time I visit. So I popped 2 and it didn't bother me at all :winkwink:

I have a fantastic dentist and she understands how nervous I am. First thing she does is make sure I don't have to wait...she knows the waiting room can increase the anxiety. Then the second she puts me in the chair she puts on the laughing gas and cranks it up high.

I'm fine after that. Now if only I could learn to sleep the night before I have an app't.

Me too !! :( I ripped a big chunk out of one of my teeth about a year ago from trying to open a beer bottle (stupid I know, but we do stupid shit while drunk)

I've been living with the pain every since and I'll continue to do so because I hate the dentist.
