i dont live there now but i did for a couple years. it is nice in scottsdale, too many rich snoobs in my opinion but it is nice, if i were to move somewhere it would probably be there. it is hilarious what the people there will do to keep a 5ft by 5ft strip of grass alive though, 20 fuckin sprinklers lol i loved it.

it can get pretty hot, but since it is not humid it gets pretty nice at night.

No it is not unbearable but i would spend most of my time indoors during the day.

90+ :1orglaugh it gets up to like 120 sometimes but is normally over 100

The nightlife is fuckin awesome. I never went when i lived there but i heard there is some club that all of the girls dress up in school girl outfits, it is in the city though as will most of the night life.

that is pretty much up to lightspeed

I dont know

herbal logic 07-21-2004 10:06 PM

Shortbread 07-21-2004 10:07 PM

I believe, but don't quote me on it, that Punker Barbie and PornDollar live there.

Stewie 07-21-2004 10:11 PM

Vanilla and I have been in Scottsdale for over 2 1/2 years, and we love it here. We have lived all over the country, all different climates, and we like AZ the best. I know it's cliché, but even though it does get in the 100s in the summer, the dry heat is much better than 80 degrees and 90% humidity like in the east. Feel free to hit us up on ICQ if you have any specific questions.

Edit: If you simply cannot stand the heat, consider it the AZ "winter" - you stay indoors for 3 months, and the rest of the year is beautiful.

I was just talking to Ashlee (www.AshleeAllure.com). It was 118 today. She was not a happy camper.

stevecore 07-21-2004 10:14 PM

You should have lots to do there when you move.

june-aug, you're looking at 100-115 daytime in the shade

and at nite, about 80-95... it's awesome

who care about the heat anyway, most of us in this biz go for days without even stepping outside

Mojo Rizin 07-21-2004 11:11 PM

Alot of places in and around Phoenix that are just as nice as Scottsdale...

But if you got to live in Scottsdale to say you live there, so be it

I hear ya man.. I grew up on a lake and its quite strange to see no houses on any of the lakes. I hope you dont have the idea of living on a lake here, not happening

There are plenty of lakes around.. I go to canyon lake about every 2 weeks and do some boarding

I think your idea of a lake front home is different then mine.. these homes you mention are on "ponds"

As far as proximity to phoneix.. I can be at Sky Harbor in 15 minutes

A relative unknown area that blows Scottsdale away.. the foothills of the Superstition Mountions and Gold Canyon..

Homes in those areas are AMAZING

Do you live there? I have never seen anything more than a pic or 2 from some real estate site.
Had no idea it was a pond

i am looking for a nice place, not in the 'desert' with lake access within 10 minutes from my house and in civilization (5 minute drive to the city that has more than mcdonalds and a gas station)

good nightlife

icey 07-21-2004 11:49 PM

If you're in Scottsdale, hit up Axxis/Radius or Sanctuary, or Mickey's Hangover, or any of the bars in the downtown scottsdale area.

Sure, the girls are snobby, but if you treat 'em like high priced hookers, you'll find out that for the most part, they'll act like them.

Then Phoenix or any of the surrounding areas, is not for you..

You would have to take your pick. Close to the water or close to the action. And even then the "action" is debatable. I personally think Scottsdale nightlife sucks, I prefer Tempe, but thats just me

D'oh. As far as moving there is concerned... There's better things to do with your money than scottsdale. What range are you looking at ?

If you're seriously rolling, there are a few subdivisions around town that have private ski lakes and such. Otherwise, all you'll find out here is ponds.

There are a few "lakes" just outside of town, but I don't really know what you're looking for.

Of course, as long as Havasu is in driving distance, I guess it doesn't really matter.
