Constitutional ammendment to ban gay marriage only if Bush is re-elec
|
Bush is finally doing something worthwhile? Nah, even gay marriages isn't a big enough thing to let the dickhead wipe his arse on the American constitution (something that all nations should aspire to PRACTICE, not just have) any more than he already he has.
|
Bush wants it, the senate doesn't want to touch it until after elections. They aren't going to get the number needed to bring it to the floor. It's dead till after 2004.
|
This kinda of makes it hard not to vote for bush.
|
Gay marriage is a joke issue to get your minds off the 30 ways Bush has his cock up your asses.

TERORISM IS THE AMERICAN WAY
BRING IT TO THEM HEAD TO HEAD STREET BY STREET WE WILL TAKE AMERICA BACK "forged in the flames of chaos" |

I dont understand the major damn problem with people who are so opposed to same sex marriages.
Who the hell are these people hurting? |
Coverage from the senate resumes on
CSPAN2 2:15 PM ET, about 30 minutes from now. |
GW better check himself at the door because there are times when I look at his mother and I know for FACT his father was not opposed to same sex marriage
|
What happened to supporting "state rights", like Bush and Republicans used to say?
I guess Bush flip flopped again? :1orglaugh |

argh bush sucks

This is a political move that GW has been making on and off for about a year or so now. His advisor that told him to do this should be fired. There is already a federal law that says that the federal government does not recognise same sex marriages as legal marriages. This law was signed by Clinton. So there is no reason to amend the constitution to add a law that already exists except for a poor political manouvre that will get him the votes of the lower intellegant southern bigots that are the only people that seem to vote nowadays.

And you're right, they do vote more because they know it get's their morals forced on others. Most everybody else is too worried about what they want / to do 5 minutes from now. |

You need to get out tonight and get yourself fisted, not everyone thinks you're cool because you can fit an entire arm up your ass. |
I personally don't like gay people, but I'm not against marriage between 2 gayz/lesbians. As long as they don't involve any animals in their private bussinesses :)
I just wanna know this: How the fuck do lesbians make babies? |

The way republicans talk about this "issue", you'd think that the democrats were trying to outlaw strait marriage. |

I respect Cheney's wife for going against her husband and publicly supporting gay marriage. I find is suprising that as the father of a gay daughter who helped manage his campaign he would be so close minded.:( http://www.datalounge.com/images/dat...photo/3160.JPG "Thanks for helping me with the election honey, too bad you'll burn in hell." |

EpicCash has quite a few gay/lesbian/transexual sites in it's portfolio. Don't you feel just a tad hipocritical promoting them?

That's in our constitution the electoral college. And NO it should NOT be change because of the electoral college it worked exactly like it was supposed 2. And no the constitution should not be changed 2 outlaw gay marrage or 2 make them legal. Don't fuck with the constitution. If we didn't have a electoral college the large states would run ruff shod over the small states. |

Always amazing that a party that calls itself "conservative" just wants to impose their own worn out beliefs on everyone else.
I wish they would be honest and just come clean that they want to protect the 1000+ benefits that a "marriage" entitles US citezens to. Worried about wallets. Whats next, requiring all women to wear skirts below the knee? |

simple Go vote then, vote your beliefs in. |
You cant legislate someones idea of "morality". Get over that point already.. thats the SPIN for the votes, it's not the legal standing at all.
Nobody should be allowed to get married with the divorce rate ranging from 60%+ for people under 30, and 50% past that.. People are all equally idiots :) |
