I don't give a shit how many times it's been said. You're banner is way out of line and way unprofessional. It' too loud, doesnt stop, and will loop every time you hit it, like when you try to move your mouse quick to get off it. Even if its still playing.

Well up until today I hadn't heard it because I keep my volume on mute all the time, but I hit a link that required me to turn my volume way up and I forgot to shut it back off........ I came back here and loaded it........ and I hear someone screaming "fuck my pussy" or whatever, RIGHT as my 10 yr old and 15 yr old boys walked into the room where I am sitting.......

THAT wasn't pleasant at all and was a little hard to get turned down while looking at THEIR horrified faces...... so I don't think *I* like this banner one damn bit either. I wasn't ready to have that blasting in my boys ears when all I did was hit refresh on this board...... :mad:

I agree that the banner is way annoying. At least have the voice stop if the mouse is moved off the banner. Very unprofessional :2 cents:

Like any business, adult sponsors won't listen untill there are consequences. If enough people say they will not promote your sites untill you change something, you'd be surprised at how fast things will change.

It isn't funny at ALL...... he just gave me this horrified look like I was doing it or something, they aren't used to hearing sounds coming from my computers. From the place they enter my office, I can see them coming before they walk up on me, but when there is NOISES coming from my computer, there isn't much way of closing anything before they HEAR it.


And I didn't mouseover anything, all I did was hit refresh....

I just wonder how many other parents have had this happen? It's a little awkward when you have kids and they walk up on something like that.

The thing that gets me is that it's just really BAD marketing. Naughty Cash is a successful program and I assume the people who built it know a little something about how to market their sites.

I am an adult webmaster looking for sponsors who can make me money, not a horney surfer looking to spank his lizzard. A woman screaming 'fuck that pussy' isn't gonna do much to convince me that the site will make me money. It might make me want to JOIN her site.

If I were a sponsor, I'd be embarrassed to have that banner representing my affiliate program, especially on a site that caters not to horney surfers, but to webmasters.

I commented in one of the other dozen or so threads about those banners that perhaps there should be steeper ad rates for "surfer" banners like those.

At the very LEAST, the sponsor in question should make the sounds die OnMouseout like ALL the other noisy flash banners here.

I expect that sort of thing on surfer oriented sites, and have seen it, so I am geared for it... but wasn't this one on a webmaster board..... and I didn't mouseover anything, so how do I mouseout? LOL

Nahh..... I hit the refresh button on the top of my browser..... so I know I didn't hit anything.... couldn't get to my mute button fast enough... and windows doesn't shut off as fast now as it did in Win 98......... so I was just left there with my face hanging out and a dumbass look on it.

I think talking banners of any kind are just a really bad idea. If I was a surfer and hit a site with that banner on it, the LAST thing it would make me do is want to click on it and go to the site in question. If I had people in the other room, I'd be scrambling for a way to back out of the site or to shut down the sound so noone could hear it.

Sometimes people do things just because they can. We have the technology to create talking banners so some sponsors will create them, regardless of whether they will be effective or not.

I've always had the same feeling about multiple consoles. What is the point if all they do is crash the surfer's browser? You CAN'T buy a membership to a porn site if your browser is crashing, can you? Sponsors should be a little smarter than that, I think.

On the other hand, for all we know, Naughty Cash might have gotten a tremendous response from using this banner. It may well be the case that it is generating them a lot of new affiliates and, as such, it may be worth it to them to continue using it in spite of some complaints from a few pissed off webmasters who probably will never be NC affiliates anyway. :(

People are complaining that the banner is affecting thier CHILDREN. That alone shoud be enough to generate a proper respons from naughty, but no. Oh well, some people are just lame.

Speaking of 'surfer banners', the Dark Cavern banner (umm Humm) isn't much better. (The one with the word 'slut' painted on the girl''s ass).
