I'm finaly finished (pic)
Took about 4 months of working on it in my spare time. Moving it into the gameroom tomorrow and putting in the 27inch monitor, the pc, the rockford fosgate speakers & sub, the control panel, the marquee light, and the xbox.
It started out as a set of plans and 3 sheets of MDF board. Havent decided on artwork for the marquee, but anyway here it is: http://www.mrpheer.com/cabinet.jpg |
Rockford Fosgate? XBox? In THAT? Sound good :thumbsup

I hope thats not a 27 inch tv. The clarity is crap on them. Get yourself a Wells Gardner 27inch. Grabb your controls from Happs also. They make awsome joysticks if you like the microswitch types. Personaly I dont(dont care for the clicking feel). I like the old leaf switch ones. I grabed a few out of some old arcades that were being tossed. Slapped on some new leafs and gave them a nice alcohol swabbing and they were good as new. Thats a nice cab by the way. |

Ive never used the X-arcade. You should look into building one of your own. You would not beleive the money you would save. |

Get the fuck outta here!! That is bad ass!
Do you do Mame emulator type stuff too? That cabinet would lend itself really well to playing the old school arcade games. |
Wow, cool!

you can buy the plans like I did and build it yourself, or you can buy the kits that he just started selling for like $300 plus shipping. I wish he had the kits when I started on mine, it would have saved alot of time. Took me longer to cut out all the pieces than anything else... plus that MDF makes alot of dust that just coats everything in the garage. |
what made you do this? weird but cool....
