Was just on CNN 3 Turkish businessmen, to be beheaded if Turkish companies don't leave Iraq.

Sad thing is ..those companies won't leave

They're good as dead. Turkey, like any other country, is not going to remove troops for the sake of 3 civillians. That would only open the flood gates for more killing as a form of negotiation.

Those hostages are probably brother muslims. 95% of Turkey is muslim. They are killing their own muslim brothers in the name of the god of Islam. Moreover, whenever one of their car bombs go off, 9 out of every 10 killed is Iraqi, more brother muslims. How can any reasonable person believe that Allah would sanction this? If they keep killing off all the muslims, who will be left for them to fight for.

Do you even engage your brain before you open your mouth, or start tapping on your keyboard? If these companies pull out of Iraq, what do you think is going to happen? Every time these people want something, they'll just grab another civilian and threaten to chop their heads off.

Sad thing is... if you give in to the terrioist damands... that will only cause more harm.... and they think they will be able to get away with it every time.

It is sad that these people have to lose their lives... but the more these terrorists see that no one will negociate with them... then it is pointless to keep on with their ways of trying to get their mission accomplished. Did that make any sense?

the timing is very obvious. Bush will attend the Nato hosted in Turkey.

Those sickos aren't from Iraq, there seems to be some kind of "terrorist tourism" from other countries to Iraq and those fanatics give a damn on who they kill as long as they can avoid that a stable political, economic and legal system is established. They don't want a free, democratic Iraq, they want some sort of ayatollah regime.

IMO these Turkish hostages have a chance to be let free.

Remember Turkey did not allow us to use their country as a staging ground for the invasion, much to the anger of our admin, forcing our troops to make that very long drive.

The turkish population was something like 94% agsint the war.

It would be a strategic blunder to piss off a relatively-friendly neighboring muslim country at this time.

Weren't they asked to leave in the first place? I value my life more then that. The terrorists aren't going to leave,just get more pissed off with all the foreign business coming into the country.They will always find a excuse to behead someone.There will always be terrorism.No way the US or anybody is going to stop that.
