Another CCBILL Ratio Thread
I'm at 1:3000 this week, normally 1:300. NOTHING has changed on my side. Don't tell me its the "summer slowdown" because then traffic levels would be down too.
Please somebody fix this. I want that factor of 10 in money back. :disgust |
Holy crap. I read this thread so checked my stats, and I'm in the same boat as you. I've never seen ratios like this. :(
|
I'm talking to Corvett right now - he's looking into it and cranking out some graphs....
Hopefully he'll prove I'm over-reacting, but I don't know... |
be sure to let us know....
|
Im almost 100% sure its a countries issue.
If I look at my affialtes stats, the ones that are steady are always and have always been steady. Then there are the ones that always fall off the map. They'll go from 1:300 to 1:3000 within a week. So..."countries", maybe they have traffic from countries that CCbill(and other billers) scrub more ofthen?!?! Who knows! Ray |
yup, they do scrub a bit on the harsh side....
so what's new? overall a great processor nonetheless...if we could get congress to pass a 'surfer fraud' law to put away those lying little fuckwits in the p00key for a few days or big ass fines...when they get caught ripping off sites....THAT'LL BE THE DAY...we don't need to scrub sooooo freaking hard.... |
Corvett and I spent a long time looking at stats and it is VERY clear that I am having an unusually shitty week, and that I've had periodic spikes like this over the past 3 months. However, he ran the same numbers on other affiliates for the same programs on the last seven days and saw perfectly normal stats:
3 Other Affiliates: Sales Clicks Ratio 148 26,760 1:180.8 43 19,941 1:463.7 49 13,260 1:270.6 Me: Rolling Avg for past quarter http://codegreen.org/quarter.gif Me: Rolling Avg for past week http://codegreen.org/week.gif I mean - whats up with those periodic shit spikes? And whats up with the bad ratio now being MUCH worse than any of those spikes? SIGH. So, anyway I'm hoping my shit will come back around in a week or so and this will all smooth out statistically. Doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy though. |
Overall I'm having a pretty slow week with my personal traffic as well, yet Skin Traffic is having a great week. Go figure, staring at stats will just drive you nuts.

I am 0:7500 with a tfcash.com site... I asked CCBill for a test signup and they said everything was fine.... WTF!? And as always there's nobody from tfcash on ICQ... and no response from an email sent 2 days ago.... :feels-hot
Btw.. im alslo 0:7000 with asiankim.com and ccbill said the test signup worked... So avoid this site.. Thats really mind-boggling... the girl is cute..looks very young.. the site is decent.. not even close of being over exposed... traffic from teen tgps.. test signup worked.. and get 0:7000 ...!??? lol Any experts have a clue !? |

Very shity week, but not only on CCbill.
|
In the last CCBill ratio thread I said that my site and affiliates were converting normally, but now things are crappy with me too! I am still seeing signups on my site, but they are down about 50-75%, and signups to my affiliates are down too.
On my paysites I haven't been seeing an abnormal amount of join declines, however I have seen a big increase in failed rebills. What's that all about? Blah. Now I'm depressed. |
yeah, something's up, conversion ratio spotty here, traffic about the same.
|
Guys, you should ALL contact CCBILL directly and work through your complaints.
If there IS something going on, they will only notice it if there is a consistent set of complaints all saying the same thing. Its hard for them to see past all the people with shitty traffic just bashing them for no valid reason. If enough valid complaints are made they may discover something. OR at least turn the scrubbers down to placate us. |
mine are fine, work more in the summer and you wont have to worry about slowdown :winkwink:
|
Hey Guys,
We just checked some things with one of our programmers, since some referrer complained with us regarding the same identical issue. We think we might have found a problem that has something to do with IE's latest security patches. CCbill should be working on a quick fix ASAP. Cross your fingers, we are crossing them for you too! Your conversion ratios might just be the result of a technical / IE / Security issue, thankfully easy to fix. Have a nice weekend. MET Staff http://www.met-art.com/webmasters/ |

Can anyone verify this? |
No comment yet from Corvett...
Who at CCBILL is aware of the IE thing? WHo are you talking to? |
Wow, now this is interesting...let's hope it's this IE thing, but it sounds very logical (don't burst my bubble !)
|
Of course this is legit! It might be something else, but it seems that IE might be the problem here. As we said, keep your fingers crossed. BTW, not all the ratios for our referral program are weird, only a small percentage, which confirms in part Corvettes's stats. It might also be linked to specific countries. For example, US customers very likely keep their IE's more updated than Spanish, or Germans. It could have something to do with the country of origin of the traffic.

I don't know if I have the liberty to mention names, but I also personally know Corvett. Great guy, BTW! It's not him anyway, but we conferenced with a tech person, who is in charge of the program.

Jen- the older your paysite is, the more of these you will see. As surfer's credit cards expire, their membership cannot rebill. Drop these members a friendly email with a special offer to convince them to come back (with a fresh new credit card) |

I have all the latest updates and I have no problem making test sign ups(real CC sign ups). Maybe it IS a country related problem only? Please elaborate! Ray |
people still use ccbill??? loool
|
Any update on this?
|
5 days later - still at 1:2500 and worse. Thank God for rebills... and even that isn't great.
Any ideas???? I don't believe for a second that my ratios would "naturally" drop from 1:500 to 1:3000 and STAY that way for weeks after many many many months of solid and basically consistent performance. |
Lately I have been having 2 kickass days in a row like 1:300-1:400, and then 1:2200 for 3 days. Then it starts over again. Also around the 20th of each month my ratios skyrocket.
|
You have this on email from ccbill? Or did they tell this over the phone?

BUMP, any idea when they get this fixed?? |
If it is not the IE thing it could be some of the following.,
People watch the news and bad things are happening. Crap in Iraq. Gas prices going up again. Fed raising rates. End of month and begenning of month. All of those factor in. Also there are a lot of people promoting the same things. they get over used fast. We have a nice program that does pretty well, and is not over sold. Give us a try!! www.housewivescash.com It is ccbill also, but try us and compare the stats. We have some hosted galleries and more comming!!! |

How does CCBill track the signups, is it only by cookies?
|
the past 3 days have been horribles here too going on at 1:4500+ which is a fucking record for me...
any update on the IE shit? thanks |
Yes, CCBill stats have been weak the past couple of days. Hopefully this will get resolved. Interested in knowing more anout that IE thing...
|
My guess is that it wouldn't take long until CCBill affiliates realize that there's something going wrong there (if it stays as it is now), and that it wouldn't take long until they avoid sponsors that use CCBill therefore. So hopefully it's only a matter of time, in CCBills own interest :-)
