Canadians: Planning on voting NDP?
I don't have the exact quote, but apparently last night Jack Layton said: "If you plan on voting NDP, vote for the liberals instead - so the Conservatives won't stand a chance."
Something along those lines or in that context. I heard on the radio this morning that the NDP wants you to vote Liberal. Who woulda thunkit? Let's go majority government. :) |

DO whatever you can to make sure that Harper doesnt get in. I considered flying home for a few days just so I could cast my vote for the Liberals.

I like the phone calls I get...
caller: "hi there, I'm calling from *blahblahblah* party... I was just wondering how you plan to vote." me: "hmm... well, let me see... which ones aren't politicians?" caller: "Oh... well, everyone running is a politician." me: "I see, then I guess I won't be voting for anyone. Bye." |
anyone who votes NDP should simply have their voting rights revoked from that point onward.
there are much bigger fish in the pan right now..and we dont need to change the people steering the ship |
voting NDP is like throwing away millions of tax dollars on bums and imigrants,
worst vote by far, even worse than liberal, but half u idiots from the east dont realise u are throwing away your vote to the french . |
You're kidding right? That would be one of the biggest surprises in Canadian political history. I know if I hated the liberals and donated my time and/or money to the NDP I'd be fucking furious. In fact, I'd demand my money back.
Also, Jack Layton isn't stupid, the more seats he gets now the stronger the party is for the future. |

Harper is another idiot kissing both sides ass i can't stand it, i wish we still were Reform. haha i can't wait the day when u can't touch our tax dollars, maybe all the prostitutes and drug addicts in montreal can support your gov't? |
Vote Green.. That is what I am doing..
I know either way we aren't going to have a majority gov't.. So if we can build up the Green Parties power bit by bit every year, eventually they might have some power in Ottawa |
topic should read
canadians: are you completely retarded? i'm with unconnected |
Block Quebequois for me... (hypothetically speaking)
oh yeah i forgot: votez bien, votez rien... |
I'll be voting liberal.
Harper is a tool who's put his foot in his mouth one too many times. BG |
the ndp platform isn't a platform for managing a country. they're pretty much setup to be the opposition.
i doubt they'd even know what to do if they got into power at the federal level. |

Dre, my point is they draw their inspiration, at least those fuckin' kooks do, from Castro's Cuba. Thats pretty sick. Further reading of those ndp sites makes me think you canadians who vote for them are crazy. Where will all the money come from? Whats this about a new inheritance tax? Guess what? They'll be picking your pocket to pay for their welfare. I guess if you liked being taxed out your asshole, be my guest, and vote for them. But this is being Michael Moorish...............far be it from an american to tell a canadian how to vote. I just find their point of view amusing; ridiculous, naive, and childish........but amusing (and if you ever vote them in, say goodbye to your economy and get used to a millstone of debt in proportions you have never seen). |

.....this ndp can be summarized as such: "If it moves............tax it. If it still moves after that, tax it again. When it quits moving, don't expect us to pay for the funeral." |
So there was a "meet the candidates" on some local community channel tonite.
"action" party - the guy was talking about how the banks are the bigbad guys or something or other. Missed half his speach but it was obvious he was clueless. green party - she came across well, and made the point that they are for changing the way the government/party system works in the first place which I think most people should be starting to clue in on given how things go in both the states and here. But really, they need to change their name and come out with a comprehensive plan so they won't just get looked at as tree huggers. At least she has some experience being on a city council. marxist-lenonist party - Say What??? Well she was completely out there. She was talking about taking all the money we spend a year on servicing the deficit and using it for social programs. Umm yeah. Get a clue about how countries and economies work. Conservatives - He's the current MP. Obviously a professional politician and went on and on about Harper instead of what he would do. Liberal - An accountant. Uninspiring but "acceptable". NDP - Been with the party since December??? Came across as nerdy and clueless. I don't know who I'm going to vote for but I know it won't be the convervatives. A lot of people seem to have forgotten that the conservatives are actualy the old "reform" and then "alliance" party. I just don't trust that they won't be like the republicans. I'm pissed with the Liberals but might end up voting for them. Part of me thinks I should vote NDP but after seeing our local guy I don't really want to. Maybe I should go with the Green Party. Need to do some reading about them. |
Tempest, glad to see you are politically involved. I find too many ppl completely apathetic nowadays.........
|
Definately voting Liberal(CAN'T STAND REFORM/CONSERVATIVES)
Sorry to get off topic here but ... Tempest are you from the tri-city area? If so could you please email me. I am looking for other people in the biz that live locally to network with. |
