2 days to go - Looking for a book

Im looking for a book...not something big...
i figured that a 16 hour flight could get boring...
so between listening to music, eating, playing on the laptop and sleeping I wanted to read a little book....something real easy...

but I want something deep...maybe something that can change my view on life, happiness, psychology or what not....

some of you might not understand what im talking about....other will.... if you don?t please just ignore this thread...

anyone can recommend anything?

It was a lame joke, they type I ussually tell so I easily spotted it. The library of congress keeps a copy of every book in print.

yeah, journeys out of the body was one I didn't think i would get into at all, i picked it up one night and read it right then and there....it was fucked up...nothing changes my views very easily and that shit opened a new way of thinking

BlueQuartz 06-08-2004 05:31 PM

do you ever work anything out for yourself????

you want us to choose your hat , your shoes and now your books???

I hope you never have to make a quick decision

very simple

many lives, many masters is about past lives and one mans journey while under hypnosis into those past lives...but it also shows factual evidence to support his claims while under....

journeys out of the body is about one guys diary of experiences while having out of body experiences...this one is amazing, i shjould have suggested it first, it is the better of the two

Out of all the books, that was the one I was going to recommend too. It is the first of three he wrote.

See my www link for the research Institute that was formed following that book :)

It was indeed. When an engineer/businessman starts talking metaphysics, you know there is something to it.

I read it like 10 years ago and just recently read the other two.
I also did a five day residential course there to learn how to meditate, go out of body etc and highly recommend it. :thumbsup

wow, nice....my wife is actually more into it that I am...I just read a lot about it and enjoy hearing her stories...

I need to take some meditation classes before I try it, i have enough trouble with insomnia as it is.

we just got one of the other two books a month ago, forget which one....

every time my wife gets a new one of her books, she orders about 20 more of them and sends them to her family and friends....which I think is cool as hell

gornyhuy 06-08-2004 07:46 PM

This is what you need:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

If you read it, absorb it, and then use the flight to get started practicing it, it will change your whole perception.

Plus its a relatively quick read.

anyone can recommend anything?

Try "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margarat Atwood. It's a great book, but short and an easy read.

pimplink 06-08-2004 10:40 PM

I'd recommend Tuesday with Morrie (M. Albom)

The Rainmaker (J.Grisham)

The Giver (forgot)

and anything by Robin Cook...

Hope that helps...

TAMPA_TOKER 06-08-2004 10:43 PM

Rich Dad, Poor Dad great book:thumbsup

undermyspell 06-08-2004 10:49 PM

I would say Angels and Demons also. I finished it up rather quickly. It's not a real short book but definitely gives a lot of awesome info mixed with a good story
