VideoVoyeur - i don't know either of you, but i do know that the federal law requires that at the beginning of any taped conversation, you must clearly tell the other party they are being recorded.

and it is highly unlikely that any judge will accept a privately made tape as evidence in any event since either party could doctor or change it.

Courts are impartial, they dont care who you know who you blow. The fact is it is legal here to record phone conversations without giving knowledge to the calling party.

They are acceptable in court as phone records will match that he did in fact call my house and will give an exact time of how long he was on the phone with me, itll be fun when the recording matches exactly.
