Anyone here ever take CREATINE?
A trainer just put me on creatine, a SUPER high protein diet (with protein shakes) to bulk up quick. I already lost all the fat, now I'm trying to get my muscles torn up. (Anyone that has seen me knows I have terribly thin arms and legs.) I've gained almost 2 inches around my lower legs, but I need a hell of a lot more.
So, what are your experiences with creatine? :helpme |
It works.
|
i know someone who took it and it worked well with no side effects, other than that he seemed more aggressive than usual, but, im not sure if that was the creatine :/
|
I took it, It helped me put some weight on, what it does is give you more mass to build into muscle
|
o, i heard if you take it and dont work out, bad things happen
|
no.. milk is better! :thumbsup
|
my coke dealer used to cut his shit with it:1orglaugh
back in the day! |
it works, thats correct, but hell its just a bit water!
Don't think you will grow like with steroids!!!! |
I had a friend that took it. It really does work and with almost no side effects... I noticed that some people that take it have mood swings.
|
i started taking it last week, the time will tell
but i saw some great results on some people |
I'm *supposed to see results right away. I'm eating a shitload of food (low fat, high protein). I'm loading on carbs in the morning, drinking Protein ICE 2 times a day, drinking 2 gallons of water a day, cardio 6 days a week and lifting every other day. (The most weight I can take, less reps).... Any other advice?

If you're going to take creatine I highly suggest going with the liquid form and not the powder. There is no loading phase and the side effects are minimal compared to the powder.
I took the powder and it did blow me up but it was a false blow up. I got constant cramps and was almost always dehydrated. I took it for about 4 months and really have nothing good to say about it. I then switched to the liquid form and saw a lot better gains without the above mentioned side effects. The only part is, when I stopped using it, I quickly went back down to where I was before I took it. So basically, I spent $100 to blow up for a month or two. Save your money, just use protein and vitamins and you'll be fine. :thumbsup |
cadio 6 times a week when trying to bulk up? that's WAAY too much
creatine is good, make sure you keep hydrated you should get a little stronger and have more intense workouts with it |

Now, I need an exercise for a bigger ass. :helpme I checked my body fat on 2 of those scales at sharper image (one said 15%, and the other 17%)...not sure how accurate they are, but the only fat left on me is my boobies. I've been working out for a few months now, just not really got "into it" until recently. |

I use it before and after workouts, works great. Just make sure you mix in the a glass very well or else it won't disolve properly. oh and drink lotsa water.

Introduce new excersizes and pull out some old ones, change the order in which you did your old ones, your tempo, etc Don't pay attention to the bodyfat scales, get a real test done somewhere or buy yourself some fat calipers |
btw... why no fat... a bit of fat looks better on a girl than some muscles if you ask me... :2 cents:
|
And don't cardio on workout days unless you have a good amount of time in between workouts (around 4 hours)
Too much cardio and you'll lose lean mass (muscle) Ever notice how long distance, endurance runners are all skinny as a pole? And how sprinters are bigger and more muscular? A lot has to do w/ the intensity and amount of cardio done :) |

thankfully it had no bad effects |
sounds like you're on the right stuff...

Creatine and a high protein diet will have your kidneys bitching for a break in a few weeks. The water your drinking is good.
Keep in mind Creatine pulls water and potassium from your body and moves it to the muscles (thats why some guys think they are king shit when they are on it because of the water gain in size). There is a risk of dehydration. I never touch cardio when I am fully loaded on creatine and I never do more than 3-4 weeks at a time. Keep drinking the water :) good luck with your goals. |

BUMP....... one last question.
If taken properly, is this going to make me retain water in my abdomen area? THAT is the last thing I want or need. I'm so short waisted that one lb of fat OR water makes my pants too tight. :helpme |
most important things to grow are:
training REST,REST, REST eat, eat , eat drink a protein shake before and after training, take a full day rest after each training session..overtraining will kill everything creatine works the best if you are having problems growing after you've trained a couple of months already..to give you a little push so to speak don't start off with it right away |
It works, just be sure to stay hydrated
|
Works well for me, for some reason it makes me a bit sick though.

I'm taking creatine since almost a year.
I take it a month and then stop 6 weeks normally. It's good because it's 100% natural (you have in your muscles and you find in meats) and there are no big proven second effects if you take it but it doesn't work on everybody. What you will see when you take creatine: You will lift more , you'll have more stamina at cardio and your recovery time will be much shorter and many more other things.. If you plan to take it go for it you won't be dissatisfied probably. |
nope dont need to take crap like that.
|
As long as you drink plenty of water for the next 2 hours as you take it, and as long as you work out there are no side effects. It works great actually, but you can't take it and sit your ass on the sofa.
