now this is some bullshit.

Am watching the news, and they are talking about how Mexicans wait along the border to jump the border into the US. Sometimes they have to wait weeks for an opportunity when the Border Patrol is distracted, and sometimes they die out in the elements in their wait.

So, what is the Mexican government doing about this? They have officers and doctors patrolling the border so they can offer food and medical assistance to them while they wait to make their move across the border!!

This is bullshit if you ask me.

They don't want to really stop it because the US economy depends on these people that will do grunt work in fields and factories without any labor rights for below minimum wages.

In my 20's I worked in the LA garment district. There were sweatshops were the illegals were only being paid 10 cents per garment for all the sewing work.

Aren't they happy making $2 an hour in a factory that used to pay American workers $15 an hour? Did we ship American jobs to Mexico in vain?

it is if you are going across a un specified crossing point.. they are illegaly arriving in the states.. that is why there are border patrol and customs agents.. not just for show but for a reason, avoiding them and using other ways to get across is illegal :)

Yeah, I have been to the border, and there are many reasons to let the Mexicans thru legally with their work visas, but to actively support them in their quest to cross the border illegally is bullshit.

And it is the Mexican government that is doing this, not the US government. If we wanted them across that badly we would not bother patrolling the borders trying to keep them out would we?

I remember reading that the US has ~ 10 million illegal immigrants working there, and that if they all disappeared tomorrow the US economy would collapse.

In a chat room full of really smart people I have finally found the flaw. That being that ya'll are a bunch of stupid ignorant fuckers. Lets think about things critically...
1. Why would there be doctors helping out those who are crossing the border? If people want to do something and put their hearts to it, they are going to do it. The people crossing the border know all of the risks that they have to take. They see it in the news everyday.
2. Why are people crossing the border illegally? Because of the fact that we as a country have made up the "american dream". I am not quite sure what this is yet but this is the only country in the world where people actually have the opportunity to make something of themselves. We as a country have oppressed many other people, but this country is still full of hope.
3. why have we exported jobs into mexico? Big corportate companies figured out that if they have people working for them in a different country that they wont have to pay as many taxes as they would otherwise. that means more money in their pockets. Now is it just to have these "sweat shops"? I sure dont think so, but this is just another loop hole that people use to get away with things.
Now I would suggest that all of you who have made racist and oppressive statements to take your heads out of your ass's and think about things critically. If you dont have an educated statement to make, then i sugguest to keep your mouths shut, you sound like an asshole.

The Mexican government should be arresting the people sitting on the border waiting to illegally enter the US for loitering, or conspiracy. They should not be helping them survive their eventual crime. That is aiding and abetting in my book.

I never said that i supported what they were doing, i was just pointing out what was obvious. and as far as worrying about your pocket book, you should be worrying about all the people who are draining out the money that should be available to you, the tax payers. You should be worrying about how your government spends their money. The government should do something to change what is happening now, instead of paying people in commisions millions of tax dollars for someone to say "we have a problem" and not do anything to change the situation.

The fucking news team was there, on the fucking border, talking to the Mexicans that were waiting for their chance to break thru the fence, and talking to the Mexican officials that are there helping them.

They are concerned that their citizens are getting, robbed, raped, and sick, while they are sitting out in the brush, in the dark, so they are protecting them, feeding them, and giving them medical aid, while they wait to illegally cross the border.

While I agree that people should not be mugged, or left to die out in the desert, the Mexican goverment is aiding and abetting in a criminal activity.

I live in Arizona. All you ever see on the news is how a family of mexicans died trying to cross the border. the sad thing is...is that our border patrol can shoot them at will, and it has happened.
