I need a new car!

Ok im making some pretty decent bank, time for a ride!

I currently drive this POS 1991 olds cutlas cierra, lol. I love it because i dont have to worry about it and because i dont get speeding tickets anymore (it cant go that fast heh)

Ok heres what im thinking,

Expedition EB / XLT
Tahoe
Cadilac STS
Lincoln LS

Ive never owned a foreign car and dont plan on it, so help me pick from these ones

anyone like any of these?

hova 03-21-2004 10:00 AM

Cadilac

candyflip 03-21-2004 10:00 AM

Are you referring to an old Seville STS?

There's the new CTS sedan and the new SRX suv. Maybe you're thinking of one of these.

My father just picked up a new SRX for my Mom yesterday. She's been driving Blazers and Tahoes for the past 15 years or so. She said that this is her most favorite ride she's ever owned.

I would downgrade from you 1991 olds cutlass, to a 87 cutlass (which is what I am driving). The car is hot, and definitely has speed to it (v8, 4 barrel, posi rear) Mines a 442.

Roald 03-21-2004 10:03 AM

none of the above

candyflip 03-21-2004 10:11 AM

Yo Rich...check out the new GTO. It'll be a few more months for me, but a nice shiny new black one will be sitting in my driveway.

i read an article i think, sounded nice!!

Donny 03-21-2004 10:17 AM

From those I would buy the Expedition. I just bought a new Explorer earlier this week. They're great.

candyflip 03-21-2004 10:19 AM

Here...check this page. There's a spot to hear the engine start up. The LS1 V8 is a beast for suer.

My granddad worked for GM for 35 years and we get some wicked family discounts/incentives. Sticker price on this vehicle is about $33k. I can land one for about $25k or so.

fraggle 03-21-2004 10:23 AM

Agree - the GTo is sweet - not too sure about the SUV type's - probably prefer the smaller options

Give the choice i would have a TVR Tuscan S - Pure Filth (in the nicest possible way of course)

i wouldnt drive that thing for more than a few days lol

1. im looking for luxury/class, not sporty/fast

2. im almost 6'3 and i need fucking room! Most of these foreign cars are built for chinese people (no offense meant)

AdultNex 03-21-2004 10:30 AM

I hate American cars, except the classic ones.

But, if you feel the need to get, get a Tahoe.

Cadillacs are great rides though.

more of a toy than a need, so harder to convince wifey heh

fraggle 03-21-2004 10:33 AM

:)
they are death traps and exhausting to drive - probably the opposite your looking for
Ive never driven a US car so i dont know for comparison but i fit in one and im 6'1

What about Merc's for luxury?

candyflip 03-21-2004 10:38 AM

Hey Rich...have you checked out the Caddy CTS? That's one would probably be right up your alley.

For a new car or used one no more than 3 years old, this group could range from $16,000 to 50,000.

Actually...I take that back. I might not be too far off, but I thought he mentioned an Explorer. With some looking you might be able to track down a 3-4 year old Tahoe for that low price, but that might be pushing it.

mammy 03-21-2004 11:01 AM

if choosing from the list
caddy will be the best choice :thumbsup

Basic_man 03-21-2004 11:08 AM

Cadilac STS all the way !!!

chupachups 03-21-2004 11:23 AM
