Most I ever paid was $150 in my senior year in high school to see REM for the first time at Maddison Square Garden. The drummer's head just blew up, they were my fave band and I wanted to make sure I saw them before they broke up.

In June I saw them for the third time in a really small fanclub gig in London for $20.

does that include time-warping to when they were good, not suit wearing assholes that shut down fansites dedicated to them for having 2 second soundbytes?

The sanitarium tour was free here ! The show was kicking some major ass ... The crowd was bouning too much you couldn't breath as soon as you came near the pit . Limp Bizkit really rocked too !

I paid about $100 (Canadian) too see Metallica in less than a week. As for it being worth it? I think it all depends. I like Metallica alot, they're a band I've always been into, and feel it's worthwhile to pay that much to see them live. Others might not, and that's cool too.

As for their playing, well. I think they can still play just as good. These are songs that they've been playing for ages, and they've really only improved their skills. It's their writing that's gone to absolute shit. St. Anger was crap, but I don't doubt their ability to play any of the older stuff.

I just hope I get my money's worth.

thats a hell of a lot of money, we had pretty good seats and it costed us nowhere near that.

if you paid $60 to join the metclub you would have gotten preferential tickets and it would have been a shitload cheaper

I have floor tickets next week in Calgary...for all you guys who only like their old shit thats mostly all they play with a couple newer songs...also for all you guys giving them shit about kazaa how about I put your sites content ect. up there...tons of bands were on the napster lawsuit just didnt have the balls to tell anyone (Dr. Dre anyone) metallica also has a site that lets people download 3 free live cds...anyway that show will kick ass but $560 isnt the face value so dont assume thats what metallica charges
