Stay out of Little Haiti in Miami right now. Probably going to be riots when this news gets out into the pro aristide Haitian community.

tbabe 03-01-2004 10:17 AM

LOL thats funny. They should have done that to hussein, saved alot of problems

Ironhorse 03-01-2004 10:27 AM

Will he be roomies with Noriega, Hussein and the others?

Digipimp 03-01-2004 10:28 AM

Yep I saw a story about that yesterday, he says he was kidnapped and forced to leave by armed soldiers and had no choice. What the hell is he doing in the middle of Africa now though?

africa will take any deposed leader. you can always find a home there

ytcracker 03-01-2004 10:32 AM

i dont understand too much about the situation

what did he do and if he did something bad why do people like him

Digipimp 03-01-2004 10:32 AM

I sure would have robbed that motherfucker long before now. Fucking one of the poorest countries in the world and that damn palace is in the middle of the city and it's fucking sweet. I'd have gone after that guy a long time ago.

Hey the republicans are all for throwing you out even if you're elected, that is unless it's in the US.

Roger 03-01-2004 10:36 AM

If the US and France wheren't involved in that coup d'etat they would've said that the rebels are terrorists.

Aristide didn't follow the superpowers plan and has been removed to make way for someone who will.

People don't give a damn though. It's unfortunate.

alot of haitians feel his govt is corrupt and they are really poor there. he was forced to disband the military after the first coup and now all he had left was about 4K cops

The rebels took up arms and with little oposition have taken 99% of the country in about 3 weeks

Yeah but the guy was an asshole too who was killing plenty of people. Just because you got elected doesn't mean you're a great guy.

Supposedly French soldiers have him confined in a small 1 room location in the middle of Africa right now.

for sure, he fell into the dictator mentality and used the cops and gangs of thugs to intimidate people. And theres a feeling he rigged the last election. Oh well, i dont think the US will put him back in power again, but he's probably stolen enough from the country to live comfortably in africa for many years

Apparently he imprisons some of his political opponents and his police forces are corrupt and of course he lost all the aid he usually got from the international committee and since like over 60% of Haiti's economy depends on aid, you can imagine how bad the situation must've gotten.

He was the first Haitian president to be elected democratically though.

Really poor? The peasants yeh. But Haiti is a major heavy duty transport point for narcotics and money laudering. In Palm Beach County Haitians are driving Benz's and living good and many are connected to that end of things down there.

One bad side effect of this that I'm seeing is that the democrats are jumping on this guys side and defending him and saying how he was democratically elected and we were wrong to take him out.

There you go dems hand your ass over to the republicans so they can show us all how he was robbing and killing everyone and help get the King re-elected.

Of course it's wrong to take him out. What exactly is wrong with you? How'd you like it if someone from another country started mendling with your country's politics?

I don't know what country you're from. But in America, freedom and independance are essential.

This just goes to show part of the problem with so many people. They're either right or left but not in between and just sensible.

I'm all for going after anyone that is doing harm to their people and their country. I don't give a shit about george bush and his dumbass plans, or the democrats wanting to hand us over to the UN. I would like to see our strenght and wealth used to do some more good in this world and if that means taking out people then so be it.

As long as we're doing what the people of those countries want and not for oil or some bullshit then I'm all for fucking a lot of people up, not just a few.

theking 03-01-2004 12:24 PM

Just denied by the Secretary of State...and he in fact said that Aristid left the country escorted by 15 of his personal security people.

makes sense, why would Bush care if he lived or died. The didnt want him to stay in power so he was going to be gone one way or the other

Does that include Bush? Because the idiot sure is harming the US.

How about leaving other countries alone and using the wealth to help the poor in the US and other countries instead? Is it too much to ask? You remind me of the French and British colonialists who screwed up lots of countries and are continuing to do so. And those pro-censorship of porn and anti-gay marriage people who think that they know best.

We're not helping. We're teaching the Haitians to rely on other countries to solve their problems. So let's not be surprised everytime shit like that happens in Haiti.

You're very very wrong and yes it should include King George. An isolationist democrate you are, it's my first time seeing one of those. I wonder how people think money will solve everything as well since it doesn't work anywhere but they keep trying.

strats 03-01-2004 12:44 PM

Maybe a Haitan Look alike will appear in place of him then aliens will invade earth, and we will have real doll wives who clean house and do dishes.?

Who said I'm a democrat? I agree with both on some issues and strongly disagree on some other issues.

I know, it's hard for you to realise. But try living a decade in one of those countries and then go back to your country, then you'll start to understand. The whole freedom and independance concepts are there for a reason, not just because it's a nice thing to have. I myself used to think the same as you do.

MetaMan 03-01-2004 01:00 PM

wat are u talking about? CNN just had the interview with Collen Powell saying he was shipped off to another country because he made a deal to step down if his family was protected. the other people were his personal body guards.

I would have to disagree again. I think we should go kick a lot more ass than this president is willing to. There are a million things I disgree with King George on, but I'm happy to see him doing something with Haiti, too bad he didn't do it 3 weeks ago, now if he would do it in other places where we aren't in it for the oil.
