Sorry to anyone who is from Romania and felt offended by me saying "I woulnd't touch a Romanian chick".
I read the other comments and came to the conclusion that perhaps I am missing something.
For me simply Romania has the worst reputation in the world, when we are talking about the citizens, but I know that this may be only a stereotype.
Even polish people have not everywhere a good reputation. :glugglug

What you see in that pic are not Romanian but gypsies living in fact in all European countries, I bet even in Poland.
Romania has a beautiful mountain landscape, that's where the newly released movie "Cold Mountain" was almost entirely shot.
I was in such a Dracula tour in Romania, where some nice castles combined with the natural landscape and great wine made an excellent trip. It's a country of contrasts, struggling to get rid of the old communist legacy in a slower way than other East European countries ...

Well, Gypsies are everywhere, I agree, but I think those on that pic are actually Romanians.
Many of them were coming to Poland only to beg ( or sometimes steal ). From time to time hey were caught by the police and deported to Romania.

That may give me a false impression of Romanian people in generall. I will try to change it by visiting Romania some day.

The wine is GREAT, I'm a wine drinker myself and I was curious and drunk some austrian wine and some tokai (hungarian) and I thought: "WTF is this shit?". you might wonder why nobody has heard of romanian wine : because we don't know how to market it.

No, I know that many gypsies live in Poland but also many people came to Poland from Romania and acted like on that pic.
Then they were deported to Romania. Gypsies aren't deported anywhere, they stay.
I didn't mean that as an offense, I should even have more knowledge about it because of my studies in "international relations". :)

It's a very beautiful country. They have a lot more great things to offer than wine, but indeed it seems they don't know how to market it.
