May be my price very low?

My new price:

Solo Girl - 100 euro for 100 images or 1 movie (30 min)

Min volume - 3 sets or 3 movies with 1 model

Cheap?
Nah....i am selling 3 sets of pics exclusive custom for 300$....5 sets for 450$....8 sets for 700$....
And my prices are in dollars not euros:)

I'm quite confused of your reaction. In my humble opinion it's not correct to use such adv. methods. Charly answered in such manner so I even had to look attentively on the content which he selling. There's no descent businessman who will criticize his rival's production in such rude manner.

I think Charlie should ask for pardon from Lykos.

We charge a lot more then that, but our customers expect video with a story and girls who speak English. If the girl doesn't speak at lease some English, she's of little use to me, no matter how cute.

We're not aiming for quality, which we can shoot, but to fullfil the surfer's fantasy. The best videos come with a story, some dialog and even a plot.

Anyway if you will reread the original post you will see what it is about prices, not shooting techniques, quality and stuff.

Thanks also for helping us to be sure in quality of that we produce.

For those models which cannot speak english we have professional actors, who anyway will play better even than a pro model. Well, it's our approach to a language problem. Finally we'are aimed to video. However the quality of soundtrack will be higher in this case, than in soundtrak, which recorded during the shooting.

After all, you are very lucky, if you have a lot of native english speaking models =) And also the most part of jerks are native english speakers also. So you should be happy about it, dude =)

Paul's an asshole. Yep.. I've told him that to his face, and he knows what I think. But excuse me if I laugh my ass off when you compare Paul's quality to mixphotos. Sure, Mixphoto's stuff isn't bad, but to even remotely suggest it's of the same or even close to the same quality of what Paul shoots is beyond ridiculous. Paul is an asshole, but he shoots magazine quality pro content. Mixphoto shoots what anyone could shoot with a few girls and a decent camera. Hell, it doesn't even look like he uses lighting.

When I compare the content quality he produces and the content quality Mixphoto produces, I reallize that it is not worth to pay Markham the fees is asking for the slight quality difference there is.

If I add Markham's personality above this, I prefer much more doing business with a nice guy like Mixphoto than an asshole like Markham.

Wow, not sure when calling someone an asshole was construed as licking his ass. I guess it's all about what you're willing to pay for quality. Like I said, Paul is an ass, but he DOES shoot nice stuff. That's not "licking his ass", that is FACT. I'm a pro photographer, been published myself numerous times, so I can make a judgement call.

Mixphoto may be cheaper but his quality can't touch Paul's. That is not anything but bare, straight up fact. I wouldn't charge a little as Mixphoto either were custom content my market. Then again, the quality difference would be just as apparent.

As for Mixphoto being a nice guy, I'm sure he is, but he sure as fuck is spammy. I only just got off his "mailing list" myself not too long ago. Damn grateful about that too.

I do not think I'm the best photographer in the world, I don't even quote my profession as a photographer. I'm a pornographer and these is a difference. I don't bash ALL other content providers, only those who do not learn what can be learnt in a few weeks. Why do I only bash content providers? Because pornography is all I know.

MixPhoto you even put up pictures of a girl with scorn or contempt in her eyes. How can you put up pictures like that? The idea is the guy paying to view thinks she's saying "FUCK ME" not "FUCK OFF"

I told him for what he shoots I thinks is expensive. If he only want to hear "SELL TO ME SELL TO ME SELL TO ME" He should word his spam differently.

Finally when he and Lykos were trying to sell to me,, I told them both to come to me with some girls and watch me work. I WOULD HAVE TAUGHT THEM HOW TO SHOOT.

Almost every one of those photos is brokered and/or published through various stock photography agencies, and in various books and periodicals.

I don't want to teach your photographers, pal, you can pay for them to take courses, but the simple fact remains that Paul shoots pro quality and you or your people do not. Are you going to deny that? I'm sure Paul would be pleased to list a full portfolio of magazines where his work has been published. How about you? I don't publish my adult work, only my mainstream. I shoot adult though and I sure as hell can tell when something is shot by a professional, an amateur, or even a pro-amateur.

Know where you're at and know your market. AaronM is a great photographer and he shoots a ton of content that a TON of people use (and not at rock bottom prices, either). Yet he's the first to admit he doesn't shoot pro-level stuff. That's not a BAD thing, it's just fact. Why not ask him yourself. As far as I know he has no interest in shooting it either. He doesn't pretend that he does though, nor is he pretentious enough to claim to or be insulted when someone says he DOESN'T shoot magazine level.

It's about the reality of it. You wanted an honest opinion, Paul gave it. You might not agree with him, but if you wanted everything candy-coated, you should have said so in the first post. From my eyes though, all I saw from the first post is that it was a thinly veiled attempt at trumping up business.. That's not a bad thing either, but don't get all prissy when someone calls you on it :P
