I don't think there's any goalie that can pull another Patrick Roy with the Habs hehe :)

I'll say Vancouver Canucks... These guys play with their hearts... whenever I watch them play, it reminds me of the old Canadians 15+ years ago

only downside is Cloutier... choker.

skillfull 01-22-2004 10:20 AM

this season
the habs player have hearth
less talent than a lot more team
but they kick some serious butt

MPBWhitney 01-22-2004 10:23 AM

Go Canucks Gooooo!!!!!!!! :thumbsup

Thrawn$ 01-22-2004 10:24 AM

I have to agree with you on this one Dan Cloutier should not have been signed again much less be in the NHL he needs to take a step back. :2 cents:

But yeah the Canucks have passion and the Vancouver fan base is great.... :thumbsup

Thrawn$ 01-22-2004 10:26 AM

a team can't win with Trevor Linden in the lineup :1orglaugh

CDSmith 01-22-2004 10:29 AM

A Canadian city hasn't brought home the cup since what... 1993? This year it is looking very likely that this will finally happen again. Even Calgary is only 8 points out of first. Vancouver, Edmo, Toronto and Ottawa are all in the running... not sure about the habs.

skillfull 01-22-2004 10:47 AM

http://www.nhl.com/onthefly/standing...standings.html

habs are presently the 11th team of the league
edmonton sucks this year :P
toronto is kicking but in recent game they suck

but seriously
look recent habs stats
Theodore is 12-4-5 in his last 21 starts.
Habs have only one loss since Dec. 27.
The Canadiens (24-16-6) are only five points behind Toronto for first place in both the Northeast Division and the Eastern Conference.
and also, we have Steve Begin and Andrei Markow who will come back soon :Graucho
the canadians is the more under-estimated team in the NHL
now thing start to change :)

FUCK J0EL 01-22-2004 11:03 AM

I say Totonto :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

That's the best joke I heard today :1orglaugh

LA Mike 01-22-2004 11:24 AM

My fucking ducks suck!

I'm depressed...

What happened to our All World goalie from last year.. This year he sucks. Every time we play the backup goalie we win... Anyways want to send me their captian for Gigueire? (cant spell his name) :)

In the last 8 games we have had double or just below double the shots of the teams we played. Last night against the red wings it was 32 shots to 22 or something close to that and we tied. We had a goal go in right after the period ended.. maybe 1/10 of a second late.. We have pucks around the net all night but they just never fall for us... some bad luck right now for sure.

Head 01-22-2004 11:25 AM

Not the Leafs!

Question: is there another team in the NHL that is closer to Canada than Detroit????

For those that do not know the Detroit river seperates the U.S. Canadian Border. You can see Canada from the Joe.

Detroit won't win it this year. Hasek will be injured(again) for the playoffs and Cujo will choke just like last year. Sorry Detroit fans...you can always come and see the parade in Montreal.

Ross 01-22-2004 12:25 PM

I seriously need to get to know more about Hockey.

Its violent and from what I hear pretty good.

Brad Xtremepay 01-22-2004 12:34 PM

Closer? no. Buffalo is about the same distance though.

Toolz 01-22-2004 01:05 PM

Bahahaha parade in Montreal?

I'll get you front row seats as it streams past the Detroit river on the way to the Joe, once again.

If Hasek's not back for the playoff's they've got Joseph and Legace, Legace is better than 80% of the league's first string goalies and I wouldn't be suprised to see him starting in the playoff ahead of Joseph.

The Wings are tied for 2nd overall with McCarty, Thomas, and Hatcher injured for most of the season so far.

The backside doors to the Joe open to a street that runs along the river, the center of the river is Canada. Is Buffalo's stadium that close? Never been there.

Give this person a Phd

very smart...probably knows the cure for canadian envy too

on and btw...McCarty will be a force when he returns...Hatcher will be ready to prove a point...and manny Legace will be the best Goalie in the NHL in the future
