legitimate chance to run your own paysite
 

A while back we designed our site, the main gateway page is greatgirls.com, to be able to have multiple front-ends but still use the same backend mechanisms. The front-end design and backend design can look the same, different logos, etc., but not require any additional maintenance once setup.

We'd like to give others a chance to take advantage of this architecture and practice having their own paysite.

We do -

1) all content, you pay for nothing
2) regular updates of content
3) pay for bandwidth, server maintenance

You do -

A) all design, we may be able to help you some, particularly with PHP scripts
B) all marketing / advertising
C) customer support

You will get 70% of signups and reoccurring.

You will either need a $500 deposit, or we can hold your revshare until you reach $500. Fully refundable as long as you don't cause us grief like spamming. You will only be given an FTP account and won't otherwise have access to the server, for both of our protection.

This is a new offer on our part. To keep the legalities simple, at this stage we want only US / Canadian residents, to be confirmed by us mailing the contract to a street address, not PO Box. This is open to both new and experienced paysite owners, but I don't plan to do any training on marketing / advertising. Must be at least 18 years old.

Did you guys at Greatgirls think about the demographic of what your attempting to do?

Most designers prefer to make designs and do not have time to generate traffic, or inclination to keep rolling on marketing consistantly.

ON the other hand your asking those with traffic to design a site and market it, when they are interested in sending traffic to 1000's of sponsors of which refine tours to work for the promoter. In otherwards the promoters do not have time to wonder how effective there tour is and tweak it. They dont care how the tour looks they care whether or not it converts for em that week.

Everyone is hunkering down on their "Place" in the grand scheme of things, bold steps in two different directions is a tough decision.

I realize there are a lot of people here who are concerned this will take promoters away and they will lose some traffic, especially after this takes off. But for those that are interested in owning their own paysite this is a great opportunity. The $500 is a deposit, not a fee, and no, you can get near the amount of content we have with this.

Regarding the design of our site, it does quite well thank you. Besides, the proposal would have one create their own design, there's no limitation except it has to be in PHP. So if you don't like our style, no problem, create your own.

Doesn't sound like it'll work. I'd much rather invest a bit for the content and keep 100% of signups... or promote a sponsor and get 60% recurring without having to deal with design and customer support.

I agree, I'm sure any of our affiliates would rather promote us, since they don't have to worry about the design or any of that shit! And if they do want to do something, it would be starting their own paysite!

Some good points have been made.

Technically, to stay in our license agreement, you'd just be a revsharer of ours, and for the pics we licensed, we still have a few domains we can add to the license and remain completely legit. We have no plans to do anything that would jeopardize our current site.

I believe a few have touched upon this - Who is this suited for? There are a few people out there that wouldn't mind delving into owning their own paysites, but don't want to take the risk. Setting aside the deposit which is fully refundable if they don't any wrong, the only thing they can lose here is their labor. What they gain is a better understanding of this side of the business. It may be a great stepping stone for some.

I realize some people have been burned, and probably because of past experience alone they'll pass this opportunity up, that's a sad reason, but I can't do anything about that. We've always been honest, never shaved, but I guess there's no fool proof way for me to show that. I am just now introducing myself to the community at large, so granted to most I'm fairly unknown, but I'm trying to change that.

Regarding the "no name, offshore" part. I understand this concern. We have the same concern about interested parties so we're asking for a deposit. Kinda of a catch-22. We are a legal corporation, and will sign contracts as such. If it helps any, we can negotiate the deposit, maybe you'd get 50% until we accumulate $500 then you'll get 70%. We open to discussing this.
