US will nuke China?
The plan is to setup China to invade Taiwan.
We use tactical nukes, they fire back, and then it escalates to full ICBM time. Sounds crazy? China is becoming too powerful. The US can't tolerate being downgraded to the #2 superpower. Watch. :Graucho |
Where will Walmart buy high quality low priced goods then?

it'll take 20 years before anything happens - china is too far behind to worry about now

The PLA issued a 16-page publication, the Howangjio Weekly, that was devoted to Taiwan, that was sold on street corners. In contrast, most Chinese newspapers had little to say about Taiwan's pro-independence vote. The publication included plans to send 200,000 fishing vessels with a two-million-strong invading force to take over Taiwan. It also included photographs of what it said were the most advanced secret weapons in the world. These included laser weapons to disable the U.S.-owned F-17's guidance systems, the newspaper said. The PLA has reportedly been working on a new generation of nuclear weapons, the publication said, and it outlined steps by which China would threaten the United States with nuclear war. China would then sway U.S. public opinion by making economic concessions, and it would increase arms purchases from Russia, the Post reported. It would then stage a limited attack on Taiwan and if that failed, China would mobilize its people into exercises that would show that it is preparing to survive a nuclear war, the newspaper said. "The United States will not sacrifice 200 million Americans for 20 million Taiwanese and eventually they are going to back down," the publication said. |
China has over a billion people, give them all rifles and ship them to america and we'll all be bowing to the chinese
|
the thing about china - is that their gov't is fucked up enough to actually DO something like what you're sugesting......
|
Ha! We will be skeet shooting those motherfuckers as they hit the beaches! We have been waiting for another good legal reason to use all these guns.
I do belive that report though. The Chinese people are up to something. They can be THE world power easily if they wanted to. They have a lot less to lose than we do but they have way more people they CAN afford to lose. |

That's a scary thought. |
Not likely. More like a fantasy. Our current president have closer ties to China than any other president in history. Google for a story of Bush's nephew profiteering millions by being a hired help in China.
Just because a portion of their 2 billion populations consume cats and other western pets doesn't necessarily mean the U.S. will wage any form of war against them.:2 cents: |

It's surprising how many people don't respect the strides these people are making. It's like they all of a sudden woke up from a deep slumber.
China isn't all rice marshes and farmers. They are waay advanced. What's scary is their outlook on things. It's totally different than ours and they hate us, as does everyone else now. I am never scared of a bully, I'm more worried about the little guy with nothing to lose and a lot to prove. Here's a picture of Hong Kong just to give you an idea of how advanced they are. http://www.swansea-union.co.uk/SHOPS.../hong-kong.jpg These are not cave dwellers. |
The media's new printed enemy this week...
Nice... Aint you people gettin burnt on Bullshit lies the media feeds ya? Bin Laden and his MIGHTY terrorist network, Saddam the Butcher... Don't ya guys see a pattern here? |
Actually my outlook isn't based on any American media reports. I haven't seen much about them in our news anyway. As far as I know they aren't a target for us. Now Iran and Syria, that's another story.

China's GDP will level off, it is only high during the early stages of industrailization. If you wanna talk about who might be the next hegemon in the world, Look towards the EU instead. Also China's Nuclear weapons program is shit compared to the US. They have few sea(SLBMS) and air nuclear capabilities. Most of their land launch sites are not mobile and can be easily destroyed. They probably only have a total of less than 30 DF ICBMs. Compared with the US having Long range bombers, trident submarines and hundres of peacekeeper/minutemen missiles, I really don't think China is a threat. Atleast not militarily |
Not a threat? Yeah, just wait til we are all VoIP next year.
http://internetnews.com/infra/article.php/3300731 Russia and China will have our balls in a vice at will. |

Once the expansion to 25 memberstates has taken place, the European Union will most likely have the largest economy in the world. But don't worry, unless they start spending heavily on defense they will be no threat to the US. And who would want to kill the trade relationship the US and EU have? (the biggest in the world.) And the mutual investements..... |

Btw.. That war better get started now.. By next year they will be 1.4 billion :Graucho |
It WAS overblown. If we turn into a VoIP communications using country business can be virtually shut down by a DoS attack. That's a scary thought. With standard switches on the current legacy telco networkks we are protected from that.
Shutting down business for too long of a period can do serious damage to the economy. Hell, shutting us down for two days can wreck the stock market. |
