Great question, I did alot of things.. such as raise my boys, which I am still raising but, they are alittle older now (teenager years) but, its all good. I also did accounting for docs etc etc.

I admit I was surfing porn at work and clicked on an Xpics banner (remember them? 18 cents a click!). I did some backtracking to their affiliate site and thought hmmm you mean you can make money from this shit? hehehe What was that 94 or 95 I think?

In charge of sales and marketing for an electronic products company. Prior to that programming in VC and VB.

Several years back I finally became pissed off with the whole rat race, called the owner of the company a c-u-n-t, went home and took up this full time :)

Met my biz partner in a Doom2 gaming room & BBS in 96 and he had already started a small site..I had some extra cash and didn't want to go the corporate suit route..the rest is history :)

i worked at a golf country club cleaning golf clubs & golf carts. was a fun job but only got paid minimum wage, then i processed hospital insurance claims, SHITTY JOB!!!!

I'm a med lab tech and worked as one for years before our health care system cutbacks which forced me out of my position. I then worked for a calibration firm before I started working for a dot com company. I did just about everything for them from being a chat host (monitor) to managing several of their areas, tech support, writing articles and I was also farmed out to do work for MSN, NBCi, Campbells etc.

I was a CNC machinist for 20 years. I set up jobs on computerised lathes so flunkies could run them. I hated that job with a passion.

I worked offshore. Glad those days are behind me.

I worked in Real Estate / Property Management for several years. On site, in the office and in the accounting department for awhile after I burned out.

I had some health problems and had to leave my job in 1996. Not too much later (1998?) I started taking some college classes via distance education. One of them was web design. I put together a porno site as a joke between myself and a classmate. I put Adult Check on it as part of the gag and then forgot about it. A few weeks later, I got a check. And then another. Well, I invested in hosting and content and learned a thing or two about the business and made a pile of sites.

The rest is history. :)

ILSOPH, why would you do this instead of computer game programming? That sounds like a great job?

i get paid 5x more, and work half as much..

plus, working for someone else sucks ass.. now i call the shots, wake up whenever.. do whatever.. i'll never go back.. shoot me if i do..

i was on a few games... nothing huge... i worked on Fox's NBA basketball and a snowboarding game called Dark Summit...
