Fuck Taco Bell
Ok, so I wrote them a while back and let them know that I was tired of them screwing up my order and I wouldn't be doing business with them anymore. I get a shitty form letter back with a preprinted coupon for one free item (like this makes up for shit)
So I politely write back, and let them know that I was really dissapointed in getting a form letter in response to my complaint. So today I get an email from the local rep that ends up like this.. Quote:
|
Taco Bell just owned you!
I would send that letter to someone higher up in the corporate ladder if possible. |
:1orglaugh taco bell 0wned you

Been there done that... |

For fuck sackes I hate people like you... You got way too much time on your hands... But a taco, pay and shut the fuck up. |

if they keep fucking the order up, why go there.
I try to go to fast food restaurants that have a good operation. The local burger king and kfc is mostly worked by blacks, and the order is always slow as hell or some fuckup. So instead I go to the local wendys. Pretty much all the workers at that one are off the boat from eastern europe. And they are fast. |
Post the letter you wrote to them.

it is taco bell, do you really expect good service? |

I'd release that letter to the news.
I spent 7 years with Taco Bell as a manager and I couldn't imagine ever being able to send out a letter like that. But with that being said there are of course the few you will never make happy...but I would never accuse a customer of being one of those. In the past I would offer them a free meal instructing them to speak to me and then supervise the making of that meal personally so there couldn't be any mistakes. But Taco Bell changed the way it did business a few years before I left...during the mid 90's they changed their franchise policies to reflect a larger number of franchise owned stores than corporate ones..and being a corporate store you get to set most of your own policies and prices...you could very well visit 4 stores owned by 4 different franchises in your town and pay 4 different prices for the same taco. I think customer service has not just been hurt by this but also by the fact that I truly believe the customer service philosophies for most businesses has changed in that it used to be taught that it cost more to gain a new customer than it did to keep a loyal customer. I think they now believe that with so many stores and the ever increasing population that there will always be someone to replace you so who the fuck cares? But still I'd release that to your local news. There's always a division in the local news that goes after local businesses for whatever bad they've caused...good luck. |

Teach them how to be good employees now, and they'll be good employees for life...whether they continue on with Taco Bell or become your dentist, lawyer, kid's teacher etc. |
Here are a few things you can do o to make their lives interesting there at the store.
1. Go to their drive thru, when they ask you for your order, blast the horn for each word said. If they ask you to stop blowing the horn, scream what as you blast it. 2. Order enough food for 7 or 8 people and then pay in pennies. 3. Get a bullhorn and when they greet you at the drive in, use the bullhorn to ask for your foods. 4. Demand to know how many beans are in each taco / burritto before you pay. 5. Order everything as if its from Mcdonalds, as in, yes, I want to have 2 Mctacos, a McSalad, a McSoda and 3 McBurritos 6. When ordering, end each statment you make with "in accordance of the divine Prophecies that have been releaved to me at the 7th door which is red"... 7. Get a taco bell uniform, walk up to the drive thru, take the order and tell them " i have it from here man, Im the new delivery guy" and drive off. These techniques have all been tested out by the staff of Dirtybills in our pursuit of getting even of places that have attempted to think they can screw up lunch orders and get away with it. The looks on their faces are priceless............. |
Good for them. If more business would say what's on their mind then customers wouldn't act like spoiled brats. The customer IS NOT always right. In fact, sometimes the customer is just an asshole. I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but I am speaking on my own experience. I'd be interested to see the actual email that you sent to them. I'll bet it warranted such a response. If it truly wasn't a "nastygram" then fuck taco bell.

i agree. i think we would need to see your email to them to get both sides here. I can't imagine why they would reply like that. It's crazy if they had no reason to. |

Taco Bell is funny. I went years ago and asked for a nacho w/ no beef. It came w/ beef and I asked for a new one. The kid told me to just pick the beef off.

that's great! personally, I'd rather the world work like this. fuck all the fake smiles and asskissing. just because you work for company X shouldn't mean you have to grin and bow to every bitch who walks through your door (or writes you a letter). if you don't like that particular establishment; just don't eat there. The guy offered you free shit, and you still kept bitching. why? why add more noise to the world? why add more stress to this total strangers life? HE didn't forget your hot sauce. I really don't understand these people who feel compelled to write letters to everyone whenever something bothers them. think about what sort of people fast food places have to deal with every day . . impatient crowds of fat loud trash .. . and what should you expect from minimum wage employees rushing around on their feet in a hot kitchen to serve you 99 cent meals? Taco Bell isn't a place for picky people with high standards. You're not paying enough for perfection. Check your order when you receive it. If they made a mistake, politely ask them to correct it then and there. No harm done. No reason to go on a big UberCustomer power trip at the expense of someone elses dignity. |
You'd think that a manager at Taco Hell would have a better grasp on grammar. :2 cents:
With that said, why in the hell are you writing letters to TACO BELL!?!?!? Write letters to T.G.I.Fridays, Bennigans, Apple Bees, and places like that. We had HORRIBLE service once at T.G.I.Fridays and I wrote them a complaint on their website. They sent me over $200 in free food coupons and a personal apology letter from both the manager of the store and the regional manager. Taco Bell doesn't give a fuck! They already have negative word-of-mouth advertising going around so they could give a shit what one person thinks. :2 cents: |

But why would you spend 7 years working for Taco Bell? When I was 15, I spent three months working for Burger King, and that was the end of my fast food career. |
Yeah, I'd like to see the "original" letter that you sent to them as well as the follow up letter. Yeah it sucks that they messed up your order, but what kind of response or free goodies did you think you would get for bitching?
As sad as it sounds, Taco Bell can afford to lose you as a customer. Or.. another way to handle would have been to inspect your order before leaving.. take the order back inside and ask them to fix it. |

when i was 15, i spent the summers working on my parents farm....... get the idea, work is work. just something you gotta do |

other times, I was self employed |
we are all unhappy with some food chains
we may complain, we get an apology we move on and we never go there again |
There's no Taco Bell here but it must be better than Mcdonald's.
|
Taco Bell screws our order up every single time we go. In fact, we made the mistake of giving them a chance last night and they left out two items. Taco Bell has the planet's worst customer service, surely. I can't imagine any company being worse.

I stopped going to Taco Bell they always fuck the orders up and barely put enough shit in their taco's so their taco shells are pretty much flat like a cracker. Fuck them.
|
You got owned like a little bitch :thumbsup
|
Come on man. I have a hard time believing your reply letter was nice and polite. Something had to be said to receive such a response.
That aside I don't care what anyone says. A company should not reply as they did like that. Something just doesn't make sense with that. If anything you should have been ignored and put in a kill file. |
ahhhhahahahahah

:1orglaugh :1orglaugh
Im not a big fan of taco bell |
That letter is shitty customer service. i can't believe the corporate totalitarianism of a company like taco bell would let an employee get away with saying stuff like that. it's time to get some people fired...

I had come from the film industry and started managing in fast food when I moved out of California. I had some ground floor offers to work for some companies in the D/FW area doing some video editing etc but they didn't pay as much and didn't offer as much "stability." Anyway my nieces were living with me and their father is a shit who owes over $30K in back child support...so I kept that job for a lot longer than I would have if I had just been on my own. |
So how you gonna ruin Taco Bells reputation?? Good luck
|
Love to see I am getting slammed for writing to Taco Bell with a complaint. Let me clarify a few things for you that want to annoy me further. I am a pretty reasonable person. I don't go into their stores screaming and demanding all sorts of shit. In this case it was about the 5th time they had forgotten something. Why was I shopping there? Because it was late, and not much else was open.
Now let me just say that just because it is fast food, and cheap doesn't mean that I should expect shitty service. Other fast food chains do a very good job of maintaining their standards of service. As for my letter, it simply stated that I was really dissapointed in the generic treatment and the in light of that I would never do business with them again. I am never rude in letters. If for no other reason, someone might take to the public and use it against me... Hope this guy likes waves though, because this is going to the local press, and about 6 of the corporate managers of Taco Bell and their parent company. |
