Got fucked over by FlyntDigital. WTF?
I signed up with Flyntdigital at the beginning of their $100 per signup promo. At that moment this stuff looked really great and I thought I can get a little share too. I put together low-budget Google AdWords campaign and started to push some targeted traffic to 4 of their sites. I also directed some toplist traffic to a couple. Everything was smooth and at the end of the promo I had 4 sales in my stats. Not quite a lot some of you might say, but still its $400 that wouldnt be out of place. Wires should be sent out no later than January,10 and everything was cool. But yesterday I have received the following message:
"Dear Webmaster, Your FlyntDigital account has been terminated and any revenues-due forfeited because of program fraud by use of credit card. We take this type of fraud very seriously and will share your account information with other webmaster programs to insure that they not be cheated. Please be advised that you are no longer authorized to advertise or otherwise promote any FlyntDigital sites or the FlyntDigital program. FlyntDigital" I couldnt believe my fucking eyes. Just like that without rhyme or reason I was accused at credit card fraud. That just really looked like some big bullshit. I asked to at least give me some details of what did they mean "program fraud by use of credit card", but heard no single word from them. My account was terminated and I even dont have a clue what was wrong. Is that the way sponsors handle their "huge promos" these days? They announce high commissions, taking advantage of the traffic flow that comes their way, and then just cut loose webmasters, showing up with some lame accussions of credit card fraud? It looks like no more than a cheap fucking scam. And I guess if it happened like that with Flyntdigital, none of their webmaster can feel safe that he wont be kicked one day being said some unbelieveable crap that he is a cheater, spammer, pedophile or whatsoever... I dont want to look like lame whining biatch and ready to provide all possible proof that I promoted their sites honestly and all those credit card fraud calls are complete bullshit. I wont miss a lot neither $150 that I spent through the AdWords, nor the traffic I send to Flyntdigital. But those lame accuses and treating fair webmasters like idiots are what really makes me mad. Heres the snapshots of my AdWords campaign I used to send traffic to Flyntdigital: http://www.32r.com/campaign.jpg http://www.32r.com/1_bustyb.jpg http://www.32r.com/2_legworld.jpg http://www.32r.com/3_hustler.jpg http://www.32r.com/4_jenna.jpg Currently ads are showing up as disapproved, because Google AdWords Terms do not allow links with pop-up windows, and as you may know all Flyntdigital sites have a big entering pop-up. But before I discovered that clause in Google's Editorial Guidelines and admins turned off the ads like 6 days after I created them, I was able to put some clicks to four Flyntdigital sites as you can see. And those are basically the ones that generated sales. Everything is real, as real as Jenna Jameson's ass, Flyntdigital received my traffic and signups, but never paid. I have nothing but to assume that their sweet sugar $100 per signup promo is a lame dirty little scam... |
interesting
|
that sucks to hear.. :(
|
Thats pretty fucked up right there
|
Great post. That's one more sponsor to avoid.
|
I would never trust any company that settled with Acacia. Guess you learned your lesson.
|
Sucks to not get any response from Hustler. Maybe 3 of the 4 people that signed up charge backed and reported "fraud" as their reason for charging back.
|
Weak. :BangBang:

damn, let's hear their story..

months ago, it seemed that flynt digital closed our account and we hadn't even made a sale *LOL* we couldn't log in, so i wrote.
then i wrote again and asked what was up. after a couple emails, someone (i think her name is tara?) told me to write to another email address. i decided not to bother - they made it too much work. |

Trent Edison, FD people are in Vegas from what I know.
Exactly the same thing happened to me before summer with icecoldcash. A transaction failed in AVS (address verification system) in 1 of the 3 first sales and the system flagged me as a fraudulent webmaster. Although their mistake was recognised and I received an apology, they didnt pay me and they never paid any of their webmasters. Flyntdigital has nothing to do with icecoldcash. It's a good program, with history on paying webmasters on time and their promo definitely wasn't scam. If you have legit claims I can see you to be angry. Wait for them to return, give them access to your adwords stats (that's what i would do) and I believe things will work out. From what I know affiliates are getting flagged by the processors first. A year ago this wouldn't have happened, but thanks to all new visa regulations affiliate programs need to stay below 1% cb ratio and the limits of identifying some as legit or non legit are very small..... get in contact with them within the next days.... |

all im saying is that you'll get a better response when they'll be back. if you check their support forum thay are away from there too.

Wait until mid-next week, when all the convention hub-ub is over and see if someone calls you back...if they don't, research, find their #, and call them direct.....and don't stop til you find out $400 may not be much cash, but it sure can buy a few nice things. |
We'll see next week...
|
Doesn't shock me at all, that whole program stinks. if Larry Flint knew how his name was being represented online he'd be ashamed. :2 cents:

thats a weak comment without and point you gotto back such a point by arguements i can say: rich is a moron and a cheater but it would be a useless comment without proof you know what i mean? im sure you do |
Still, never experienced anything like that with any affiliate program I worked with.

They sure can come up with some shitty lies just to make a few bucks extra. |
I agree with Soul.
Wait until someone is back in the office and then talk to them rationally. Lots of these things *are* done automatically by a machine and it's up to the webmaster support people to sort out who deserved it and who didn't. From the point of the program owner, it's better to cut off a potential fraudster first and take a look at it later. If you spend the time investigating it while the person's account is still enabled, you run the risk of even more fraudulent transactions until you can get things verified. For the honest webmaster it sucks but it's the only way to protect the program. I had Sextree cut off my account once for questionable traffic. I sent them the full URLs of where I was sending traffic from, gave them logins and everything. Once someone actually took a look at it they apologized and re-enabled my account. |
i have nothing to add except it makes me genuinly sad to see shit like this :(
hopefully they will eventually get back to you and at least explain what happened. |
Well, this was shitty.
But if you look at it from FlyntDigital's side, what if half of the signups you sent (2 in this case) were used by surfers as credit card fraud? It wouldn't be your fault, but I'm sure it's in FD's terms that signups from fraud will not be paid for. What do you think? Also, my guess is that people did shit like have their friends sign up for trials and stuff like that. I'm not saying you did, but it's something shitty that people (many on this board) probably did in an effort to make some quick cash. So my guess is that FD investigated accounts with suspicious behavoir very closy and that they probably acted more liberally with their "terminate key" than normal. Comments? |

Anybody who sends enough signups consistently will surely have some fraud/chargebacks in their signups from their surfers once in awhile. You can't control, but it can happen. Perhaps this instance with your account on FlyntDigital was one of these anomalies. I wouldn't know, but like I said, I'm guessing that they did keep a closer eye out for this type of stuff during their $100 promo than they normally do. |
I think nobody should care about shavings of companies which are on this list. If webmasters are still working with them, let's them be shaved as hell
|
Hahahahahaha you actually paid max $0.40 per click? Fucking hell! You screwed yourself over.
|
Would it help you to know Flint got hacked? If you did business with them, call your CC company and cancel the card.
|
i'll never understand why cheaters WHINE on GFY?
you'd think they'd just realize they got caught and try something different? no no no - they always think they are smarter than every one else. |
that sucks
|
Something like this happened to me and Platinum Bucks, they terminated my account without talking to me about it, they found NO information of me cheating and it was only because the surfer wouldn't continue to full membership that they killed my account, oh yeah... and 2 fraud payments which from what I have been told are MY fault. ALL RIGHTY THEN!
Sometimes this business sucks but look at it this way, there are many sponsors out there, some you will find will do this to us and some that will take good care of us. It's all trial and error. Sorry to hear you lost your $400. |

For anyone reading this thread later on during a search for "
Flynt Digital" here's the real scoop about Trent And Flynt http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...hreadid=221220 Read Ken's post on page 2. |
Just in case you're not seeing it in the other thread, here's Ken's response. I think it speaks for itself...
******************************* Regarding Trent Edison, Here are the facts straight from our fraud control dept. 1. He signed up with FlyntDigital for the first time to take advantage of the $100 promo. Nothing wrong with that, but those big promos do tend to attract cheaters. 2. He used a Check Cashing Business as the "payee name" when he signed up. This was the first red flag. 3. He gave us a bogus Tax ID. When we asked him for a correct one, he decided he wanted a wire instead and he asked that we change his Payee name to a Russian name. Surprise, surprise.... 4. He had 4 sign-ups. All 4 canceled. Again, big surprise here.... Anyone still think that FlyntDigital screwed Trent? Give me a fucking break. Some people might not like FlyntDigital because of Acacia, or because they don't like Larry or whatever. To each his own. However, we run an honest program and we've never screwed anyone. Period. ******************************* Cheaters suck. :321GFY Now, if you wanna get to know FlyntDigital for yourself, check out our current $50 payout promotion on $9.95 monthly signups, as discussed in this thread or on our site. And please hit one of us up directly if you've got any questions... |
