If you have a few thousand dollars, the answer is to sit on them till the exchange rate improves -
But -
Interest rates are being held down in America to help exports (Much the same way Thatcher did in 1990)
And America's illegal tariffs on imports is also keeping the dollar artificially low.

A couple of things may get this loss out the way quicker -
1) EU needs to get serious about fining America for these tariffs or retaliating with similar measures
2) If the bse discoveries turns as serious as it was in the uk, then this will knock American exports a fair bit -

If non of the above 2 happen - Then we could be in for a year or 2 of the American Government shaving us Euro webmasters by 25% or more!

I like it when I shop from US. Scripts, traffic and stuff like that...

Hosting is now 25% cheaper, so is buying traffic, listing galleries and what not.

Open a US funds account and put your American checks in there, and use your Euro money to BUY things in US funds.

Nastydollars pays in dollars BUT that is only 1-2% of what I earn. I got most of my money in kronor or euros...

If USD is down 25% (what u said)
it should lower all USD expenses by that amount when you exchange your money.

you should keep your dollars money on an american bank account while waiting dollars is growing up.

That only goes for existing capital in euros.

the current account deficit isn't getting better anytime soon, and Bush isn't planning to cut back on any spending.. so how is the USD going to improve? I think a year or two is probably best case scenario

We're in Czech and everything has dropped against the krown. And most of our outgoings are in krowns. We probably took a 25% cut in income this year.
