When will law enforcement ever understand....? Follow Rudy Guliani's policy of repossessing/taking the car away from the drunk driver forever. No 2nd chance, 1 strike and you lose your car, period!

I think the threat of losing your car if you get caught DUI is a very serious detterent to drinking and driving (nothing wrong with getting wasted, just get a goddamn ride back home). Car repossession and some serious jail time (years, not days), will get rid of the daily horror stories of entire families dying in a car crash, while the other car's drunk driver walks out without a scratch!

This kind of shit is not tolerated in most other places in the world... the United States justice system is too tolerant of a lot of unacceptable behavior!

all drunk drivers names and addresses are printed in the paper that way.

i have seen my friends names and addys in the paper for drunk driving.

Lousiana is not tolerant on Drunk Drivers, it just so happens its the party capitol so there are tons of drunks.

sup fletch! don't worry about looking it up, i was just ranting in general.... a lot of stuff goes unpunished here in the states and that basically gives a green light to everybody to do whatever the hell they want without worrying about consequences. There's a lot of places I've visited overseas that have an iron grip on these types of illegal behavior which result in quick and tough justice, but still have leeway that allows for a ton of freedom.

About the fucking LSU cops. Those fuckers suck. One of my friends went on a ride along with them. Said the cock suckers would pull people over for absolutely no reason just to give them shit.
