I used to be a hacker, no leader, only hacked for fun

icedemon 11-16-2003 07:59 PM

Are you talking about hackers or crackers. Hackers just play around on their computer all day. Crackers are the ones that go around causing trouble.

I always thought that crackers were the like software pirates, cracking copy protection schemes... and I thought hackers were like the network troublemakers... like in the movie.

Hackers usually are really into computers and try to make something work that hasn't already been done or make something work better. Go into a hacker newsgroup and ask how to crack something. I've seen people get flamed to no end for that.

Ok, I'm not talking about the nice hackers that do opensource freeware stuff... I'm talking about the dudes that fuck with governments and big corporations.

humanaut 11-16-2003 08:07 PM

There are a few guys in the world (about 50) who between them always have access to 0day exploits for the latest services and operating systems.. they are very powerful.. but most of them never do anything nasty

Mostly greyhats and work for companies like Iss Xforce Foundstone Eeye etc during the day

There is an emerging hacker scene in asia.. they used to be just script kiddies but now some of the biggest 0day exploits come out of .cn

Another bland term that can fit almost anything.

There are good hackers bad hackers curious hackers Bored hackers hobby hackers. Stupid hackers, Vendetta hackers.

I hacked my microwave the other day and found a secret message that the programmer coded into the display.

Once ****** my local atm and found that they run a micrcrap os. How pathetic.

Not long ago i ****** mitnicks' new company server just to see what he had. ( guess he aint so clever after being locked up for so long )

If your not being specific then i guess it could mean . "anything your not normally supposed to be doing/have access to "

Most "hackers" are security buffs that are keeping track on new trends. and keeping their own shit safe.

Theres only one way to test your own shit against hackers, and that is to hack it yourself.

Is there a leader. Yes His name is bill gates. He has hacked more computers than anyone on earth.

P.s. to you ! keep your private info off your computer or dont talk so much smack :1orglaugh

I am the leader of the hackers. We are very powerful, and can leap over buildings. Please send me your credit card number and expiry date, and I will tell all the hackers to not use it to buy elite hacker merchandise, like whores.

the real hackers dont say they are hackers, they r security experts and make of them in their young 20's.

anyone who said they hack in this thread is a wannabe and probly uses scripts like backorfice.

alot of warez groups have good hackers, but u will never see them publicizing it.
