Actually, I'm sad to say I have double standards for men vs women with this issue. I wouldn't even touch a woman who had been with as many people as I have... well, ofcourse unless they were all women :glugglug

And I wonder why I can't maintain anything even closely RESEMBLING a normal relationship.

The logic of mainstream society seems to dictate that:

A guy sleeps with 2 girls in a week and he is a legend.

A girl sleeps with 2 guys in a year and she's a slut.

What that fucked up logic fails to take into account is that without those alleged "sluts" NO guy could ever become a legend.

I think the "ridiculous" level for gay guys is a lot higher than it is for straight guys. Gay guys get laid a lot easier, so it is only natural if they have a lot more sexual partners.

Another spin on this is that IMHO one of the key reasons gay guys get laid a lot easier is they are happy with their own sexuality and aren't bothered by things like Heterophobia.

I think it's more about guys being easier than women. I mean, I'm not gay, and I don't go to gay bars, and still guys hit on me quite regularly... more so than women even. I even had a male model (fashion model) fall in love with me once LOL

Quite true on guys being easier. Even if gay it is still true that most men can have sex without the level of emotional attachment of most women, but it is also true that because gay guys are generally more comfortable with sexuality issues (generally!!), so there is less fear of rejection, therefore, they are more willing to ask!!!

Whereas, for guys - the more amorous they were the more likely their genes will survive for generations and little risk.

When HIV first broke out - the promiscous behaviour of homosexual men was "proven" (?). The homosexual man felt there was little risk to their behaviour and we saw "evolutionary" biology catch up.

The lesbian community did not experience HIV transmission rates even close to that of the gay male community. And the pandemic expected in the hetrosexual community did not occur.
