Am I the only one who thinks the return address on payment mailings should be something other than the program name?

Family.
Friends.
Misdirected mail to a neighbor.

Someone sees a check and becomes curious. All it takes is a type-in of that name and your cover is instantly blown if you didn't want others to know.

Is it that hard to hide a program name behind a totally discreet name?

Places like Nasty Dollars have it right. Type in RKNetmedia.com and nothing comes up.

Discretion is preferred, I agree with you.

I haven't really run into much trouble that way...most companies I have dealt with have alternative names.

TripleXCash does this...I hate it, they mail with a nice bold "Triple X Cash" on the outside of the envelope...Why can't they just use Venus Management or whatever they are called? I've complained about this before.

Oh, also...thank god Adultbouncer stopped the gay shit they did for like 2 payments. They put their "gay guy crossing his arms" logo on the outside of envelopes.

Epic is working on correcting this issue right now, From this point on it will only have a return address on the front of the envelope, and will not mention the company name.

We live in a very small town. One day, someone sent us a cheque written to our company name (JACT STUDIOS) which is normal, however they put the wrong post office box number on the address. So we get a frantic phonecall about a week later, "Is this JACT Studios?" Yes... "I have err.. a cheque here for you.. I didn't MEAN to open it! What should I do?" So we told the lady (who sounded like she'd seen an entire platoon of ghosts marching through her living room) to take it back to the post office and they would put it in the correct P.O. Box. Then we stopped to think for a minute, how did she get our number... If you search the internet for JACT Studios, you get our "front" site and JACT Content... Uh oh.. So apparently someone around here knows what we do.. oops!

Actually, I do not cash those. Better yet, I stop using retared programs that do this.


And this ain't just about "people knowing". Banks DO certain things when finding out, such as canceling your credit line, or not clearing your checks without fees and within 2-3 days anymore.

I have never really had a problem with this, but I agree with you all checks should be very discreet, anything else could just cause trouble for you.

The people at my bank are funny.. There is 1 girl who always is the teller when i go in to cash checks.. and she found out what i do from one of these checks, and now when i go in, she always askes me.. or wispers to me.. "how is the porn going"

Our 2 company names don't pull anything up...other than a bunch of "point of purchase" companies, crap about food stamps and sports. (For a google search) If you do a direct type in, they lead to front pages with non adult logos and no links.

It's safe to say everyone in this thread would rather keep it as discreet as possible. So there's no reason why sponsors shouldn't listen.

This is the sort of thing that can get some people into trouble if they don't live alone, or at least have a private box somewhere.

Heck, if you run your business out of your home this could bring trouble within your community too. Never know what can happen if the family 2 houses down with 3 kids finds out their children ride their bikes by a house that sells smut out of it.

The worst i've had was internext. They mail things addressed to the url that you list when you register.

I tried & tried to get off their list. I had to call them 3x & finally they gave me the name of the company that sends out their mailers & i finally got off.

They were snail mailing me adverts addressed to my 1st domain: CumDumpster.com

At least I didnt have to take it to the bank. ...but still... i know all the people at my post office & they dont know what I do. ....errr, at least they didnt before that.

I guess my homosexual autofisting support group checks printed on neon rainbow paper with a moving holographic logo and letterhead are frowned on. But come on we do not shave and have to make it up somehow, and since we started issuing these checks we have noticed a 30% decline in the number that are actually cashed.

Give me another alternative and we will make the switch, that is once we run out of these since they are already printed and all.

triple x cash not only prints retarded shit on the checks.... they also charge you $3 for sending it.

quickbuck also marks thier checks with thier logo, but i dont remember what the checks have written on them, but the outside does. dont think it gives the domain though.

topbucks, porndollar, a few others checks are discreet.

Pornkings.com checks come as Aeroweb inc or marvad corp

CECash does it as well and I promote them pretty heavy. It says CECash Inc. right on it. Type that into a search engine and see what comes up. It doesn't really bother me that much, but it's still there.

I used to get a kick out of one of my old sponsors had " SLUT " on the checks. The chick at the bank always gave me an extra curious smile.
