Who watched the Democrats debate
and what are your thoughts about the contenders??
|
Nobody did I'm sure...that's why some shit needs to happen FAST or we're stuck with that bumbling idiot another 4 years
|
Kerry, getting a lil better but you gotta check his statements for consistency from month to month like any good politician
Gep, has some decent philosophy, but needs better packaging Dean, beating up on Bush is popular, and is fairly packaged for this deal, but not sure if he's got what it takes to pull off the election ...the rest, who are they again? oh yeh, I do like Reverend PimpDaddy Sharpton with the sporty doo, he's funny and makes me laugh sometimes... ...I was waiting for him to get off the stage and bitch slap some people... :thumbsup :thumbsup |
I watched it.
Al Sharpton rules, the rest are typical boring, monotonic, no life, clones of each other. |
I don't i think as the rest of us

My thoughts are that they all are mediocre political hacks...with the exception of Sharpton and he isn't even that.

sorry didn't see it..

Didn't see all of it, but I think the state of the democrats is up in the air at this point. Dean is clearly the most popular, but I honestly don't think he can give Bush a run for his money right now.
If Gore comes in I think he's got a good shot, especially if Bush keeps fucking things up the way he has been. People are getting more and more fed up with his Iraq bullshit. They were already doubting his decisions in Iraq after months with no real results, but now it's clear that there is no plan set up. The asking for $87 billion dollars pretty much pushed all the non-bible thumping bush followers over the edge. Now what Bush really needs to do is say fuck Iraq and go after Iran. The only way people will keep supporting him is if they actually buy into his "another country's out to get us" bullshit. |
I watched it.
It just wasn't the same without Hillary, though. :( |
Didn't see the debate, but I finally got around to registering to vote a few days ago. I was registered in FL, just never got around to it since I moved here.
God Bless America :) |

I watched it.. here it is in concise form..
on any questions related to national security and the war on terrorism... Unjust war, and Bush making Haliburton rich, turn it over to the UN. on how to improve the economy.... tac cuts for the rich don't work and universal health care will cure all on what we can do for black people... give them more money, affirmative action programs, and don't put them in jail for drugs. That about sums up the three lines of questioning and the answers!! |

I saw it, would have liked to have been able to hear the lunatics in the audience better
Only question asked and answered that was not bullshit, was "what is your favorite song?" with Dean actually answering the question honestly instead of picking some song with a catchy campaign slogan titlle. |

I think he had copies of his records sent between the different doctors..There's about 3 men doctors and a male nurse that need atleast a medical complaint against.. Since he has 40 percent bone loss, it's a bit obvious the first doctor fucked up.. |

I think the best strategy is to be aggressive and bash Bush. Come election time, the Democrats will face an aggressive Karl Rove. I wonder if the Democrats will be able to find someone as good as Carville. Rove is going to be 4 years better. Something to keep in mind. Usually, the better strategy for the trailing party is to sling mud. Usually, you lose some of your own votes but gain more of your opponents. Not as good for the leading party as they have more votes to lose. Side note. I'm in South Florida. I've received a call from the Republicans already this year and not the Democrats. They are looking for money and also looking to influence voters with a questionnaire that asks leading questions and commits one to a Republican view. Don't know if this is random or indicative. |
Quote:
1. They need their Democratic base to go out and vote. Scaring people about Bush will accomplish that. 2. They need to swing the middle of the road voters. By creating doubts about Bush's honesty and integrity they may weaken Bush's standing among the non-commited voters. Democrats are not going to get many votes from the die-hard Republicans. They don't need to pander to the already committed Republican votes. |

about the only one that was half way honest was liberman. When a jew is the most honest guy thats not a good sign.
Its just a difference of philosophy. If any democrat got in it would be : slash the military fbi cia, create a bunch of inefficient socialistic programs, create a bunch of 6 dollar an hour jobs, take a total hands off approach to foreign policy. If thats what you want, more power to you. |

Do you have numbers or a reference on that? I always thought the numbers were basically: Republicans. 25% Democrats. 25% Undecided. 50% Not even sure where I picked that up from. Would be nice if there was a gallup poll or something similar where people are called at random. Registered voters count would be pretty good too. |

I wonder what it looks like per-electoral vote. What are the demographics for the more populous states?
