EscortBiz 08-24-2003 03:19 PM

TheFLY 08-24-2003 03:20 PM

Money has no value unless we agree it does.

Money is important to everyone. I'm sure there's a handful of people that could honestly say money means nothing but none of them are posting here.

How do they go before money? What exactly are you referring to?

Lane 08-24-2003 03:25 PM

Hmm, money is not the most important thing, but it sure as hell is very important

Probably that he'd rather see all money disapparing from his bank account in the next week, rather that his wife dying in a car accident...

I actually disagree. Tell me something you think is more important than money.

Me too. But if you care about the well being of your friends and family there has to be money to make sure they are taken care of.

health

but how are you gonna compare?
i'll try:
I rather have 50% less money than having serious health problems on 50% of my body

How about this:

1. Would you rather be SUPER rich (like billionair status), have beautiful women (or wife) and all the material wealth you can ever want. But the drawback is everyone likes you ONLY for your money including your women/wife. Old friends are jealous so they no longer like you. So basically everyone you are surrounded with daily is fake and only wants something from you.

OR

2. You are not rich but can support your family modesly. You have a beautiful wife/girlfriend that TRULY loves you and friends and family that care.

I think a happy medium between these two is best. Sure it would be great to be SUPER rich but at what cost?

irishfury 08-24-2003 03:38 PM

Money may not be the most important but it is important other wise most of us would not be here....

EscortBiz 08-24-2003 03:40 PM

You can still make rich friends, who will be more likely smarter and more sophisticated

HighRoller 08-24-2003 03:42 PM

I find that the people don't like me for my money, they are still very nice to me.

I hate those people who try to tell you money is the root of all that kills-they have never been poor they have never known the joy of a welfare christmas- anyone know who wrote that lyric?

Money means nothing. The things you can do with it, however, do mean quite a bit.

Still, the only thing that really matters is happiness, and unlike what many people seem to believe, more money does not equal more happiness. Some of the happier times in my life, I had no money at all... right now I have plenty, but I'd give all of it up for the happiness I had then.

If one has the money to supply basic needs...any money beyond that point is not meaningful. I spend very little money...and have more money than I will spend during the rest of my life. I would give up every penny of it...if I could have my good health back...and yes I post here.
