I checked out this page...and yes, there are a ton of galleries here. But, they all seem to have the original gallery sponsor's advertisments and original sponsors affiliates codes.

So, please explain how this is "hotlinking" and not simply more traffic for your galleries?

I was looking at my server stats and saw a large number of hits to a set of images.

Low and behold all the html is on his site but he is linking my server for the images.

I dont care what code he has in it.

My bandwidth is not his.

So he grabs the HTML, hosts that on his servers, leaves the sponsor codes intact and hotlinks the images?

Yep...and there seems to be some webmasters who don't want the traffic. And by "hotlinking" he takes one photo from the gallery and shows it on his gallery index, instead of a link. But, you click on the image and it takes you directly to your gallery.

His thumbs look like about 2 k each, so even then he is burning up a fraction of a gig a day.

So, I for one am happy to take the traffic. Thanks!

I don't trust anyone, especially some hot linking fuck to not change an affiliate code all the while he's hotlinking.

And I sure as hell am not going to keep checking his site to make sure.

People do this and then SUBMIT your gallery and then use redirects and shit and get you banned.

It's unfortunate that you have not heard ofthis method, but it does go on.

These people steal the galleries, host them, leave everything in tact and then install redirects, dialers etc. That clean version up front may be mine but how many other copies does he have with recips on them?

And when the tgp blacklists or goes after them or, guess who they stick? The affiliate code tells them who you are. But was it you?

Well, technically he's hotlinking more than one image. The gallery HTML is on his server and all the images are being pulled from other people's servers.

I wouldn't like this either. If people want to use my galleries, they can link to my galleries.

Of course, anyone being hotlinked can just use .htaccess and prevent this from happening fairly easily.

Hmmm...seems like a lot of work, and I'm not sold that this happens. Most TGP's now have a server IP detect, submitters IP detect, etc. So I'm not quite clear on how this fella could possibly "resubmit" everyones galleries and have more then a couple accepted. All of the submits would be coming from his IP.

And most TGP owners simply ban the IP or the offending domain. He can't alter your server based page, so all of his "resubmitted" galleries would be coming from his domain. They get one redirect, they ban his domain..game over.

Am I missing something?

He's a re-directing cheater, and the problem is that now TGPowners will add honest guys sponsor codes, counter codes, meta tags and any other quirky HTML shit into the banned/blacklists - so when the honest guy (who's copied gallery mr. cheating douchebag ripped off, submitted, and re-directed) actually tries to submit, he finds he's been banned all over the place. Now he cant get traffic, so he cant get joins - so he doesn't get paid - he cant pay the rent - and he's out on the streets sucking dick for beer money!

All I know is the host, and the guy on the phone told me to go fuck myself.

This guy is pulling multiple galleries from big sites.

The one he pulled was listed on Richards Realm, Mad Thumbs, Shemp, MMM100, and others...

htaccess and redirects are in place but since the host felt the need to deal with me that way, I want to go a little further.

No fucking tech guy gonna hang up on me and call me a liar saying there atre no adult sites on their host.

Not exactly positive, but perhaps a ping or tracert will reveal which network the host is on. I'm sure several guys can tell you exactly how to find out - since everyone seems to know how to check if a host uses cheap BW around here.
