Im a father now
 

Hailey Marie Williams...2lbs,14oz, 15". Born last night, 9 weeks premature. Had to be on oxygen when she was born due to the prematureness, but doing much better already. Even though me and her mom aren't together anymore, its still an awesome feeling :thumbsup

Had to share this somewhere...can barely contain my excitement, its such an awesome feeling as Im sure anyone thats had a kid could attest to!

Congrats on the birth though.. Hope all goes well.. Its tough having a preme... My employees baby was born like 3 months premature... fit in the palm of his hand.. But shes totally good now and is getting close to her (natural) weight and height

Having a child changes your whole perspective on things. There is nothing I've found so transforming in my life. It really helps you understand your meaning, purpose, and everything about life. Every day is a new adventure.

Cherish the first few years. They go by so fast. I can't believe my little guy is starting 3rd grade on Monday. Before you know it they're off to college.

PS - the first 6 months are a lot of work with the diapers, feeding at all hours, crying, etc. You have to have lots and lots of patience. Its very stressful on your marriage. The women get that post partem thing sometimes too, which you have to work with. It gets a lot easier after the 2nd year.

KRL, I still remember my first son landing on my chest all bloody and wrinkled, lifting up his little head and *glaring* right into my face and letting out this pissed off scream.... :)

He's 5 and going into kindergarten next month. I snapped my fingers and he was three feet tall... seems like it took all of two seconds for him to grow... *sigh*

Plan, thanks for being patient with me while I was gushing about this on ICQ last night. You'll do great! Just think of all the cool stuff you get to show her for the first time and all the great hugs you're gonna get and that heartbreaking "Daddy I love you"... nothing like it, man. :thumbsup
