A simple plan

kids is good.

free way ... is that the one where the girl hitch hikes - the guy tries to rape her.... she turns the tables and almost kills the guy ...but he lives ...as a quasi vegetable... and the girl gets sent to jail... ??

im not sure happiness was that much of a black comedy... I mean.. trust me.. if it's fucked up and you're not supposed to laugh, im the one in the cinema people are edging away from while im cackling away like a madman with tears in my eyes.. but i don't think happiness was really that funny.. it's been a few years since i saw it though..

yeh i was pretty creeped out by it ...and i tend to laugh when i shouldn't. I did watch it with a person who had seen it before...and so he knew when a certain scene was coming ...and would prematurely start laughing...which broke some of the tension.

I swore i wouldn't watch it a second time.... but it's been a year or so... I might laugh. not sure i'll risk it.

the new movie made by the guy who made KIDS, comedy incest, teen choking himself while masturbating to womens tennis, total 15 year old full child pornography among other hilarious dark comedy stuff.

and can't forget the explicit blowjob, the father marrying(?) his daughter, the cumshot, and the father-son midnight rape...

definitely a "different" movie

although I got a dark, sick,, twisted laugh out of the tennis jerkers reason for doing what he does after the fact (how's that for not spoiling too much ;-))?

Good times indead. Besides all the wierd stuff, the teens and skateboard culture filmed was pretty realistic.

The grandfather in that movie was the old Ryan in Saving Private Ryan, he is in all kinds of wierd movies, he was in White Zombies movie, House of the Thousand Dead Corpses.

Excellent...I am the only person I know that has actually seen it but I thought it was fantastic. I mean, who would have thought a re-telling of Little Red Riding Hood would be so good.

I rather liked Fargo

coens are an easy choice, both barton and fargo solid selections. but all in all, I'd have to go with bhutocracy and select Happiness. That shit is incredible. I'll tell you what, invite your folks over, tell them you got a great movie about happiness and watch their expressions, now that is a comedy.

Sordid Lives was a great black comedy

In The Company Of Men...

Two guys go to setup a remote office for their company and decide that they will both date one girl and then both dump her just to make her feel bad...

Sounds pretty tame, but it is Neil LaButte and it gets very dark. For starters, they girl the choose to torment is handicapped.

I kept telling myself not to laugh, but couldn't stop. My friends girlfriend just kept punching him telling him it wasn't funny.

When i think dark comedy i think of Very Bad Things.........I love that movie :)

Don't know about funniest dark comedy on a whole but the funniest scene has to go to Nathan Lane in "The Producers" with the "Springtime for Hitler" musical

and my all time fav, "Very Bad Things", everybody's got a vegas story...

Damn I loved that movie, awhile since I've seen it.

Super Troopers, its not a dark comedy but you'll be laughing your ass off anyway, garaunteed. :thumbsup

Great fucking movie. One of the funniest movies I ever saw. They are filming the second one this summer.

Speaking of David Lynch, there's always "Blue Velvet", the foot fetish scene with Dennis Hopper always cracks me up:thumbsup .
