Change is good ! It will run off the dishonest webmasters and make others change their thinking in marketing their programs and what they offer their customers..

Reminds me of a cartoon I saw this weekend..

The father is standing over the baby changing the diaper and the mother is glaring...

The father is saying , " I will change it but you get to change the next tire "....

hahahaha

More likely it will run a bunch of smaller people out of the business.

The crooked big guys who make thousands of dollars a day scamming will never leave, they will adjust and find a new way to scam.

The big guys who are honest won't benefit from this, they will lose too.

Who wins?

This is not a case of who wins. This is a case of who loses-less!?

With a little bit of outside the box thinking this won't be problem for some.

Sorry, I am not going anywhere. Shaw Internet is prepared for the upcoming changes, and look forward to continuing for many years. We have positioned ourselves well to be very flexible.

all this and no one has said squat.

what do you forsee happening Brad..if you will share it with us?

i think we will see payouts go down..most likely to the 25 dollar level..cross sales at least highly aggressive multiple cross selling will be gone...oh my..is there any way to keep the surfers longer....that is my two cents..lower payouts..and grabbing customers and keeping them is what will pay off...as i dont see any new great thing coming out right now

nazgul 07-10-2003 02:38 PM

Who moved my cheese??

Vote Nazgul :thumbsup

StuartD 07-10-2003 02:39 PM

Isn't it always in a perpetual state of change? To say it's going to change is to state that it's not doing so already?

I mean, is nothing different in the industry now than 6 months ago?

$40 payouts have been around for quite a while.

This is potentially a massive change to the entire online adult industry. Don't confuse what's about to happen with people changing to vertical tours or adding a few Flash banners. :)

Joesho 07-10-2003 02:50 PM

Make sure that Joesho is on your team...and you will make it through these deep dark times....

Cmon Lee....is that what you really wanted to say?

I have been in this business and this industry since April of 1996. Since that time, I can't recall any exteneded period where our business WAS NOT changing. I can't recall any extended period of time when there WAS NOT a significant issue that the industry had to deal with. This is simply another one of those issues.

The smart, and the strong, will survive. They will also get smarter and stronger, as they have, for the most part, done in the past.

Incidentally, your sig is in violation of the new 'get your sig within the rules' mandate. Don't make me have to turn you in.

BradShaw 07-10-2003 02:58 PM

JMM as you know, the smart have made $, anything from here on out is gravy and 3rd, 4th, and 5th houses.

I think we are going to see alot of knee jerk reactions, panic. After a few days, things will settle down and we will see if other processors follow suit. If not, I could see Epoch losing alot of biz to CCBill/Jettis, such as the large free avs's models. But it would not surprise me if they both ax frees as well, time will tell. Would be a good time to take a vacation for a few days!
