Cops harrassed me last night for walking with a black person.
 

I was walking from the bank down a path near a law office with some guy I was going to buy Dennys as a good faith gesture... fucking cops had us on the ground, asking questions, took my fingerprint even. What should I do? This is complete bullshit -- they said there was an alarm that went off and that it was a "coincidence" that we were walking by... They had no probable cause for anything -- I bet that law office is up to something no good, it makes no sense other than me walking with a big black dude at 4am through town. I'm wondering if I should speak with the law office first and then take it to the local newspapers...

Officer was a real fucking asshole too -- very threatening. I should take his fucking job.

Cops fucked with the wrong dude -- racism at its best. This will make a nice writing project for me...

I think I will press this as far as I can. If I can prove that there was no alarm, I will be able to sue the Police department for harrasment.

The fact that this happens all the time does not make it right. What city did this occur in? Did you get the officer[s] name/badge# ?

The cops had my buddy down to his boxers once because there were reports of a break and enter.. Since my buddy's father, grandfather and mother all happen to be high ranking police officers, he later found out they were looking for two black guys. Not one white guy. They were in deeep shit.

Most people consider having a bad day is when you get cut off on the road. Cops bad day consists of doing a drug raid and finding a crack addicted 6 year old, in her own fesis, while mom is fucking a john for crack money. As they walk out the house with mom in cuffs nieghtbors are yelling that this is unjust and call the ACLU. Go figure why some cops have bad attitudes.
I dealt and worked with cops for years from the guy who walks the beat to SWAT and HRT. You respect them and they respect you. Talk shit, watch them as they take a closer look at your car and find something else wrong. :2 cents:

Cops in Vegas treat the undesirables quite horribly here.

They've got all kinds of laws on the books designed to enable them to fuck with someone for just about any reason.

They had a big write up the other day about collusion between the casino owners, security, police departments , gaming authority and judges in how they handle the cases that involve what they call "advantage gamblers."

Advantage gamblers are people who count cards, or take advantage of slot machines that are faulty and maybe paying out more often than they should.

There is nothing illegal about it, other than their treatment of these people.

People are being detained against their will for no crimes, threatened with physical harm, and sometimes all in the view of the police and gaming authoritiy officials.

One individual found a $1 slot machine that was paying off like a $100 slot machine and made over $23K.

They never stopped him or anything.

He returns the next day, is grabbed by security as he tries to leave, he starts screaming for someone to call the police....so guess what...since he didn't even do anything the cops arrest him on "disturbing the peace."

That was the only charge brought up.

Now I'm not saying I don't understand why some cop might be an asshole...if a cop tries to stop you and you run don't complain if you get shot or beat up.

But if a cop stops you and has no evidence of a crime and only suspects you of something then by god he better handle the situation professionaly as long as you comply with all his requests and don't give the man shit.

I wouldn't go that far. Unless your fucking with them I'v experienced most cops can be pretty cool. you just gotta know how to play the game, smile and say yes sir no sir (in most, NOT all cases you're getting off)

It's those little fuckers that got beat up and High School and become cops that are the real assholes!! And trust me you can spot them right away, just look for a nerd with a badge and a gun.

Wait...there was an alarm at 4 AM and you just happened to be in the area? Put yourself in the cops shoes. You get a call for an alarm, you get there and you see 2 people walking by at a very unusual hour. Was it completely unreasonable to think you might have something to do with the alarm? I would have stopped you too. You weren't arrested. You were detained and they got your info just in case there was an actual break-in. He was just doing his job. He didn't do anything wrong.

I was out for a nightly run in my neighborhood and got stopped by the police because someone a couple of blocks away had just had their car broken into. I wasn't a bit offended that they stopped me (and chewed my ass for not having my ID with me). In fact, I was glad to see that they were actually making an effort to catch a criminal.

Im not sayin that some arent assholes. Im sayin they deal with assholes civilians every day.
