Iraq weapons 'unlikely to be found'
Title says it all. Not sure if they are reporting this everywhere else. |

It really doesn't matter. The mission to get Iraq's Oil and knock Saddam off his throne has been accomplished. All the political bullshit will fade with time.
We won. He's fucked. End of story. |

Do you enjoy being duped by the people that are meant to govern 'for the people'? I was always under the impression the US was a democracy. Maybe not any more. |
You thought they would find WMD? :1orglaugh

But yeah i agree with you, who cares about weapons of mass destruction, saddam has been opressing people for too long. Heaven forbid that we could remove a tyranist from power for not allowing his people the same basic rights that we have, freedom. Fuck the oil and fuck everything else, at least the iraqi people will have the choice to decide who runs the country now and can live in what should be one of the richest countries on the face of the planet. Even the bible has passages pertaining to iraq (well the areas that iraq now controls) and how beautiful it was and that it was paradise on earth. just my :2 cents: |
And before anyone mentions it, the big difference with Kosovo is we went in for the reason we were told.
Not blinkered by bullshit. I'd like to know why the American population is so docile and easily led? |
they're useless!!:Graucho

This story has a lot more chapters to go. Would you like to see a trend of Presidents going to war to line their own pockets? |
It's all about the oil

Lies? That's what makes the world go round. |

The US really seems to be going on a global smash and grab. Had to do something to pay off those debts... :1orglaugh |

What if the people of Iraq decide to go for a fundamentalist Muslim goverment like Iran? Will that be allowed in their new "Freedom" |
Quote:
Fuck Yeh baby. Bring all that nice Iraqi cash home to mama Georgie! :thumbsup |
dont worry we will give the other country's a good deal on oil :1orglaugh

Nobody wins in a war. OK. Right . . . |
Did anyone really expect them to find anything?
|
Even if they found them they would hardly dare show them to the public with "Made in the USA" stamped all over them :Graucho

Interesting points. I guess you are entiteled to put theses question to the table. I guess have to second some of that... |

The House of Saud is shaky as shit right now. That was one of the MAIN primary reasons we had to take over Iraq.

We get to choose our governemnt type and who is gunna run it. The least they can have is the right to choose for themselves |

America lost soldiers, iraq lost soldiers.. Iraq lost civilians... Think of all the familys that have had their loves dramatically changed?? Nobody wins. It might look that way because iraq is now liberated (to a degree), but nobody had a clear and defined victory. Use your brain thats why you have evolved to have one. |

When do you expect elections in Afghanistan? Remember the people of the Middle East are not like those in the Mid West and do not think the same as them. |

Still going to give them a word in their goverment? It is not finished and some of you fool yourselves, as you did over WMD, that it is. Every terrorist leader has just been given the most wonderful piece of propaganda for recruiting more suicide attackers. So far I've been proved right, the reasons for invasion were fictional and the peace is harder to win than the war. |
Quote:
Terroists do not require a reason to be terrorists. The reasons for the invasion are not ficitional...as WMD's was a very small part of the the list of reasons for the invasion...but was a part of the public face. I do not know of anyone that ever thought that turning a Muslim nation into a Democratic Republic would be accomplished overnight. It has been a few months...come back in a few years and report then. There are more Americans killed daily by Americans than there are killed by terrorist orgs or in Afghanistan and Iraq combined. Get a fucking clue...clueless. |

Recent polls show that :) This destroys our credibility in the world - rips Bushs pre-emptive doctrine to shreads. If they can't depend on intelligence assessments - if they aren't flawless, then there cannot *be* a pre-emptive policy. |

Funny...so many armchair politicians.
Nobody was talking about the "big picture," until now. LOL. Sorry, back channels are a serious problem in any elected organization. A lot of great things could be done for America ...and the world for that matter if we ignored the consent of the populace and/or elected officials of other branches. However, that isn't the point of a democracy...or even a republic (in the case of the U.S.). You can't go through back channels. The constitution is there for a reason. Things must be properly done according to protocol. Ironic that the U.S. chooses to use an executive-dominated, back-channel laced adminsistration to toppel a dictatorship ... in order to instate....a democracy? |
