Why would someone not sell a domain for $25,000?

I can think of a lot of domains people would be stupid to sell for $100,000.

I could understand if he said no, I need $100k. But $25k-$35k isn't a huge jump. And as much as the kiddies on here would like to mislead you there aren't many people out there paying that much for domains.

$35k is not far off from what you offered, give it to him if it is going to make you money, and I am sure you have done our research.

BTW, I remember I offered a guy $1k for a domain, but he said, he just rejected an offer of $100k LOL

There are also the people who assume their domain is worth double whatever someone offers to pay. I've dealt with a lot of them. No matter how much you offer, they always want double that. Even if you up your offer, they up what they want for it. Good luck making the deal.

Why wouldn't he sell it? Well .. if I get an email from anyone.. offering me $15.000 for a domain Im not even using.. I would imagine that if he offered my THAT much.. then the domain has to be worth at LEAST twice if not 3 times that much!

Once I offered $200 for a domain, the guy said the had an offer for $1000 not much time ago. Then I offered $600, he said no. So I offered $1001 (and paid the extra buck, of course) and the domain is mine!

If you are going to buy it for $35k, add an extra buck for it. I dont know why, but I felt good when I did :1orglaugh

Just tell the guy your maximum offer is $25,000 and it will go down $5,000 every month from here as you start to come to your senses a realize its 2003 and the economy is getting more and more fucked by the day.

In a month (if you don't contact him anymore) the guy will probably be begging you to buy it from him for 25,000 - Get it for $20k then. :Graucho

If the guy wants $35k for it thats his choice. You cant say he's stupid for not selling. It could be a great domain earning over $35k a year for him. It could earn him $35k every 3 years and still not be worth it to sell.
