Israel's barrier is 440 miles long and has been successful without breaking the bank. They have massive walls where needed and much less expensive fencing elsewhere. The US-Mexico border is 2000 miles and can use the same formula as Israel's.

btw. it was build by palestinian workers that get paid 5 dollar a day. i think trump will need a lot of illegal mexicans to build his wall - but even they will not work that cheap.

We already have 857 miles of border wall at our Southern border.

We need more boots on the ground and monitoring technology at the border , not spending $5 billion to add to our 857 miles of wall already there that people crawl under :2 cents:

Trump must think bigger. What about a canal instead of a wall. A new sort of Panama canal. That will create some jobs. Or just let some chain gangs dig for 30 years. Adjusting the water level you can make the wall as high as you want.

Yeah, I do get that. I just don't understand the mindset behind this wall idea. It's not as easy to understand from over here where we are surrounded by water.

That video is a bad argument and doesn't address the fact that:

1. You can go over a wall.
2. You can go under a wall.
3. You can go around a wall.
