I didn't ever crawl I just started walking when I was too young
I was talking way too early
I quit school when I was twelve years old because I was done
I use to be a genius but I am nowhere near as sharp mentally as I once was AT ALL
But even having what is left is a fucking huge curse

I was never a 200 I went around to several parts of the states being lab ratted and I was in the mid one sixties so I was never quite good enough for MENSA or other nerd leagues but I was VERY CLOSE back then

I think you will find those with a true high IQ don't feel the need to go prove that to anyone.
They tend to want to accomplish 'something', if it is for the greater good or just personal or both.
That is what drives them to learn more.

Being smart is not knowing things or much of everything.
Being smart is the ability to figure out what you need/don't know by whatever means possible. Create your own formula for get'n it done.
Something you can't achieve if you don't want to accomplish anything. I have a name for it... 'I Quest'

So more often than not, real IQ is a matter of 'drive'.
Sometimes the lack of drive comes from the over abundance of fear.

Successful people (not necessarily high IQ) have managed the fear factor. But success means something different to each person. But success in the biz world seems to come from those that are well practice at the art of manipulation. That does not 'require' a high IQ.

So those with a high IQ and with a lack of formal education will normally have a good set of 'life skills'.

I have a very high IQ and really it means shit.

At school I was put forward a year and then 3 years then dropped back to my age year, then they decided it was just cos I was a lil cunt so they tried disciplining me with strap, 9 times in one day once! Then they made me work in the head masters office for months.

The thing was when I was in the head masters office I excelled, as soon as I went back to class, I slipped again. Some classes I did very well in, others I just flopped.

At the age of 40, I went for a full midlife medical.
The report shocked everyone myself the most, then everyone went.. oh yeah that explains it.

Eye astigmatism, I had never really seen the blackboard, and... 60% tone deaf, they were amazed how I had gotten thru life being so deaf and no one ever noticing.

Once I knew that everything made sense, classes I did bad in I sat at the back, or the teacher had a beard, or women with high pitch voices. Classes I sat in the front.. I did well

Why's Baldy such a technohead.. only music I can hear, why do I hate pubs but a night club regular.. everyone shouts. And why I have done so well with computers/internet, its the perfect self learning environment.

On the other hand my sister whose not so smart, has like 4 degrees and is a computer scientist, and she still can't work out how to turn a pc on I might add. But she's got the qualifications, slow and steady wins the race, she was a plodder and study hard person.

IQ is just your ability to learn it has no reflection on what you have learned.
