$45,000
Havent been on GFY as of late casue as many of you know Ive been working on details to this new house I bought last week. Taking ALL my fucking time.
After going to the design center for the new house today to pick up and look at "upgrades" the total was $45,000 in fucking upgrades to the new house. Holy shit. I was thinking we'd be getting like 10k at the most in upgrades. (cherry floors and Granite.) Holy fuck. So much for 10k. If this keeps up I may have to start working again for the first time in 2 years. What the fuck is going on here? |
welcome to the real world...
|
Who am I kidding. My work ethic has been dead for years and I dont think I can ever revive it...
Im just fucked. |
Hehe, new construction is great but you pay for stuff you otherwise wouldn't. I prefer to let others handle the hassles of upgrades. The house I just bought is 2 years old.
(Did you look into "real" landscaping costs yet? :eek2 ) Also, have you checked out what your property taxes are? The house we bought we pay about $13k/year in taxes. New construction in the price range would have been ~$30k/year |
i have to redo a 3600 sf one i just bought...around 80K...i never stop working though
|
nah easy solution man!
Just dont let anyone have an account on to submit to your TGP, even if your signup page says to come here and ask for it ... using this strategy, you can post all your own links and make all the cash for yourself! Too bad you didnt think of it first, eh? |

Thats the fucked up part. We havent even included back yard landscaping yet. FUCK..... |
BTW BP,
I can get you a 3%-4% home improvement equity loan if you like. ICQ - 175171926 |
I told my wife we could settle for Oak Floors, oak cabinets and skip the huge master jet tub and tile and I could buy myself a hummer instead.
I mean shit. I was fucking serious. 45k in wood tile and granite upgrades? Fuck that shit. |

Plus it cost us $3k just to have the guy design it. |
Quote:
I paid half the 45k today in cash. The rest will be included in the mortage price. |

Dont tell me that. I could have My hummer (2 of them) and a couple new Vettes for that. Fuck landscaping. Fuck this whole thing. Ill never be able to enter Vegas again. My life is now over. I can see the end. |
hehe
Just make sure you're gonna live there for a while before you put all this $$ into upgrades. Becuase you won't get most of it back when you go to sell. |

That was actually my pic.k ABout the only thing in the house I like. ITs the best one I could find. And its all mine damn it!! I even have a fireplace intalled next to it!! A see through fireplace that is in both the master bedroom, and the master bathroom eye level facing and on the wall of the tub. |
The scarry thing is Im making about 80% less than I made 15 months ago.
IVe been soooooooo lazy. I really need to start working again and stop fucking around. For the first time Im actually scared about expenses. And Im NEVER scared about this shit. Like I said, I may have to actually start working again. Vacation is over.:( |

The only reason I had to turn it down was becasue it was in Sacremento. I cant live there. The warden (wife) wont allow it. Also companies like LikeWhoa offered similar offers in Places Like NewYork but fuck man, i really am stuck here in Portland. Plus at the time I really wasnt intrested in working for anyone or working in general for that matter. So instead Im gunna be strapped up here in Portland paying for my own house and coming out of this retired lifestyle :( |

As I recall last time we hit Vegas together I was picking up the tab. In the future Im going to have to have you pick up the TAB! You're right. My life is over.:( |
i can paypal you 50 bucks :Graucho
dude we built a new house last year wait until you start plan the garden and the driveway to the garage :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh THAT sucks wallets clean a fucking tree cost 200$ and then the bricks on the drive way cost like 10$/each |

If we choose to "upgrade" the driveway however it will cost more. But the standard driveway is just fine. And we live here in Oregon. Trees are everywhere. Ill pay 200.00 to get some of them cut. |
The beauty of living in the woods out in the middle of nowhere - free natural landscaping :) Right now I have almost 2 acres (trying to buy another 2) and I "mow" my grass with a weedeater, there's so little of it :thumbsup
|
I think its time for me to throw a simple paysite together and make some extra income.
With all the people I know and my knowlege of what sells an affilate program should help pay my mortage and keep the lifestyle Im used to. Something to think about. I think April 2003 may be the re-birthing of boneprone. Now I wish I hadnt sold off some of my sites throughout the year. |
well bone if u wanna go gay hit me up, i have all kinds of new shit in the works.
gonna be a re-birth of Dawgy over the next few months as well :) |
I feel your pain man...
Right as I bought this house, 2 nice solid sources of traffic & cashflow went to SHITTTTT..... making 80% of what I was last year is all too familiar a sound... reinvention in 03 is a good theme.... :thumbsup :thumbsup |
We've been redoing our house, which is a pain in the ass, while you're living in it,
as soon as your eyes see the sparkle of premium finishes, and you get hooked on having those features... you're gonna spend money and lots of it :) we put cherry floors in our place to match the furniture we have, just purchasing the wood for the entry stairs $150 a tread just for the wood, never mind installing or trim and there were 13 of them my advice, if you like it, and you're having a house built or whatever, then put it in, if you can manage to close your eyes when you see the bill |
