Makes a strong case for not sleeping with your sister

ThunderBalls 03-20-2003 03:08 PM

Why is the right opposed to free speech?

HungSolo 03-20-2003 03:08 PM

That's been my main gripe about all these war protestors... where the fuck were they before all this?? They're only protesting now for the attention, in my opinion.

Protesters are just idealistic not realistic. They want everything done their way and want the rest of us with jobs to pay for it.

Cocklickers

Wait, are you saying that George and Saddam can't sit down over a nice chicken dinner and solve all of their problems? No way. I think you're wrong.

If you consider stopping pricks like you from destroying the world being unproductive then so be it.

mika 03-20-2003 03:14 PM

Isn't the option of protesting and being idealistic (if you so happen to choose) actually one of the reasons why US is freeing Iraqi people?

(I sense hypocrisy)

Nothing and he was just expressing his!

I think now we need to stick together as a nation as opposed to splinter apart and start internal wars.

I don't understand the protests because at this point--the war is happening and they can't stop it, but if waiving around signs makes them happy--they have a right to do it ... but in my right to exercise free speech ----- I believe at this point it would be better to channel energies in a more positive manner instead of blocking streets, causing businesses to lose money which impacts the economy...blah, blah, blah :2 cents:

Hmm..you support the war to get rid of Hussein to protect America and our constitution which guarantees the right to free speech.

But you attacked the dude protesting/practicing the 1st admendment because you felt he weakens America's ability to keep our freedoms safe.

What a true mofo you are! Hypocritical only BEGINS your definition.:321GFY

Seriously! I mean Hyper, I share your sentiment. This stinky hippies that continue to protest the war annoy the shit out of me, but you can't go harrass them excercising their freedom of expression.

Don't you see the hypocrisy?

First of all, actions are not the same as speech. If I punch you in the face, that is not "free speech", simply because it isn't speech. Now, what he did was not saying "Hey, you are a fucking moron for waving that sign around!", but take an aggressive action. It's like when you don't agree with the president - you can tell him he's wrong, but you can't buldoze the white house. Got it?

Secondly, what you said about waving signs around when the war is already happening not making a difference - wake up and remember Vietnam.

Hey..Mr. Major Dipshit (Look in the mirror!) You took someone's personal property and destroyed it! I call that an attack! It certainly wasn't a "thank you for disagreeing!"

Using your logic, one could throw a brick through the windows of an SUV if you drive one because it uses so much gasoline! Only expressing MY freedom of expression about oil dependency.

You are another example of someone who ACTS first..then thinks later..well...MAYBE will re-think what you did today..later.

I was refering to his comments on the board, not his actions. His comments and his opinions on this "sign toter" was him expressing his FREEDOM OF SPEECH....

You have your opinions about Vietnam and I have mine and I disagree with you. I don't think the protests/free love/etc. helped with anything.

So, we can just calmy agree to disagree.

.....and all I'm doing here is expressing myself so I don't appreciate being talked down to like I'm ignorant.... I just have different views than you. I am well aware of the difference between action and speech. Got it?

He didn't do anything to you, yet you destroyed his property. I get it, you believe in freedom of speech if it reflects a right wing patriotic stance :winkwink:

We've been protesting for months, maybe you just didn't pay attention to the news or didn't catch what little they showed. There have been countless protests in DC, NYC and lots of more local places. Most of them are in urban areas, being that the common black man doesn't want war.

You need to re-think your LIFE. What you did this morning is something you seem to be very proud of. And it's the antithesis of what our Constitution stands for.

I DO look at the big PICTURE (our freedoms)...you looked at one SMALL picture (the sign you destroyed!).

Oh, you're right. Holding up that sign made me double think about buying my new SUV.

Yay for protesters! Let's fuck up business in San Francisco tomorrow, too! Then Monday we can bitch about Bush and the terrible economy! Sounds like a great plan to me.

I'm sure he'll notice the hypocrisy in a couple hours. One of those "heat of the moment" ordeals.

Hyper, just relax man. It's too bad that he's ashamed to be an American. I'm proud, and I'm assuming you are, as well as hundreds of thousands of troops on the other side of the world...

Months, eh? Saddam has been at his antics since the 60's. You saying months only examples just how you are only protesting ot of opportunity. A protestor with validity would have had his ass over in Iraq trying to save the Kurds from being slaughtered... trying to stop Saddam from draining the marshland that supported an entire Arabic Sect/Race. Where were they then?

No? I would hate to see what this planet would be like if there were no liberals.

No forests, after all what the hell are they good for, we need wood dammit.

Majority of animals would be extinct, what the fuck do we need a prairie dog for anyway? Shoot the pieces of shit! Good target practice.

Oceans would be contaminated to the point nobody could go in the water. Who gives a fuck, I don't live by an ocean. And those damn whales eat too much anyway.

Air pollution would be like Mexico City. Who cares, that shit don't hurt you. And there aint no fucking way I'm paying 50 cents more a month in taxes just so the water companies can remove arsenic in the drinking water. Fuck that, if your pussy ass body can't handle arsenic then you deserve to die.
