Obama Launches Plan To Make An "Internet ID" A Reality

Full story http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-0...net-id-reality

"It appears the status quo may be finally making its moves to getting control over the heretofore free and open internet. As I and many others have noted previously, the internet is one of the most powerful tools humanity has ever devised. It frees information in a way that was simply unimaginable decades ago and empowers each of us to be as informed or uninformed as we desire.

Just last week in my post, Say Goodbye to ?Net Neutrality? ? New FCC Proposal Will Permit Discrimination of Web Content, I mused that in so-called ?first world? countries like the U.S. the illusion of freedom must be maintained even as civil liberties are eroded. Thus censorship must be administered surreptitiously and slowly. The following plan to implement an ?Internet ID? will initially only be rolled out as a pilot program in two states (Michigan and Pennsylvania), and will only deal with government services. That said, we can see where all of this is ultimately headed, and the program, called the National Strategy for Trusted Identities in Cyberspace, should be monitored closely going forward."

BIGTYMER 05-03-2014 03:35 PM

I'm not worried.. I'll just use your ID #.

Vendzilla 05-03-2014 03:38 PM

Wait, democrats are saying that poor people don't need ID's to vote, but they do for surfing?
Hope this isn't true

I'm anti big brother, but I don't see this as a huge problem. It will make you be responsible for your actions and words online. That's not a bad thing. You already have to have an ID to get your electric or phone, or even buy your internet service from a provider, or drive a car, so who cares if you have an internet ID? Every move you make online is already tracked anyway, as is your IP, so attaching your name to it is only going to be a problem for people doing shady or harmful things online.

That doesn't mean I want it.
However, I just don't see it as a huge issue for law abiding citizens.

Barry-xlovecam 05-03-2014 05:06 PM

With IPv6 everyone should have a static IP -- problem solved.

NaughtyRob 05-03-2014 05:11 PM

Fuuuuuck that.

MrTrollkien 05-03-2014 05:20 PM

retty sure this is going to be a bit more general, like if you want to use the internet for a google search, you'll first have to sign in to the internet. This will be a great tool for stifling free speech, censoring comments and dissent, and harrassing those who don't get with the fucking program and line up like good little sheeple.

If you haven't seen the movie "The Lives of Others", I strongly recommend you do. It'll give you a bit more insight into what's possible with unlimited government control and fear.

That said - wait till the gov't decides the internet ID card will cost $60 annually. Then $80. Then $100.

That's right.

Because nobody is able to simultaneously multi-task concerns about other issues.

That is how it is usually generalized but it is a lot more complicated than that and it has become just a general and ridiculous smear to use against anyone who is slightly to the right of extreme left-wing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

Quote:

Fascism /fæʃɪzəm/ is a form of radical authoritarian nationalism[1][2] that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. Influenced by national syndicalism, fascism originated in Italy during World War I, combining more typically right-wing positions with elements of left-wing politics, in opposition to liberalism, Marxism, and traditional conservatism. Although fascism is usually placed on the far right on the traditional left?right spectrum, several self-described fascists as well as some commentators have said that the description is inadequate.[3][4][5]
The point being that if you think only "extreme right-wingers" can be authoritarian or totalitarian then you haven't been paying much attention.

For fucks sake, the democrats are screaming bloody fucking murder about the GOP wanting Voter ID, you can't see the irony of the democrats wanting Internet ID's?

Are you blind?

The usual suspects will witter about censorship and free speech, they seem to think these things did not exist pre internet.

You are ( and should be ) responsible for everything you say and do in the real world. Why should you be able to lie, cheat and steal in cyber space ?

:2 cents:

dannysobbota88 05-09-2014 02:14 AM

Anything that's for identification can be stolen or manipulated, that's the problem with the ID shit

scottybuzz 05-09-2014 02:26 AM

Good. I hope they force you to use it Peter. Will make you responsible for all the lies you share.

datingfactory.xxx 05-09-2014 02:53 AM

As long as its possible to turn off the ID f.ex. when your surfing porn and extramarital datingsites the ID should be positive I think.

SomeCreep 05-09-2014 03:10 AM

Obama has already done what he's going to do as president. He "reformed" healthcare by making it mandatory that everyone pay for it. And he killed Osama Bin Laden. He could've done a hell of a lot more had he not been so left-wing extremist.

It is really getting pathetic. I remember when i was in junior high learning about past evil governments who created the watch eye,
and murdered almost everyone who was even remotely suspect of not agreeing with the current government.

It is slowly happening all over again. Take all rights away slowly, condition the people that by installing these policies
making them believe it is for the better, safety and privacy. As soon as you log in your internet ID, there went your privacy!

What is wrong with people today? What happen to the real American? 89% of the entire US population has an IQ of a piss ant.
It is going to be so easy to fuck over the American people. Stupid is bliss, bliss is stupid.
